At first we were surprised to see Omaze launch another property prize draw but then The Cotswold House 2 is coming to a close in less than a month - the last couple of months have literally flown by. Anyway the next location for Omaze's series of amazing properties is Cornwall and once againt they've dug out something special. The property you can win this time round is "located near peaceful Rock beach, just across the water from the popular fishing village of Padstow". It's valued at £3million and according to various media reports we've looked at it has the accolade of being the "Best New Build in Cornwall 2020". Unfortunately we've not been able to discover much background on the prize - but do check the comments below as our regular visitors are usually pretty good in unearthing important points.

About The Property

The home covers 4,200 square-foot and includes four bedrooms, a state-of-the-art kitchen and dining room as well as space for relaxing and entertaining. Outside there's a hot tub so you can enjoy the amazing views whilst soaking away and enjoying being a millionaire. Images and a video tour of the property can be found on the Omaze website. There’s no mortgage, no stamp duty or conveyancing to pay. Omaze suggest that the property is perfect for holiday lets and could bank £15,000 during peak rental season. One thing to remember is that big houses cost big money to run and again Omaze don't provide information regarding general costs such as council taxes etc. Having a millionaire's house is fine provided you can afford to own it! A £50,000 cash prize will be included though to help you settle in or hang on to it long enough to sell.

How To Enter The Competition

Tickets for the competition cost £10 for 15 entries. Unfortunately you can't purchase less than £10 worth of tickets. Other ticket packages cost £25 (40 entries), £50 (85 entries) and £150 (320 entries). For a free entry you can send a postcard or envelope to the address given on the website. This is worth doing as "once a postal entry has been processed it will be entered in to the next available draw and all subsequent draws until the final Grand Prize drawing". Confusingly the terms state you can make one entry via the free entry route and then says that there is "no limit to the number of entries" made that way!

Guaranteed Prizes

As we mentioned in the other competitions, we think that it's worth entering this Omaze competition as the prize is guaranteed even if not enough tickets are sold. This means there will be a home winner and no competition extensions. Additionally there are early bird entry prizes on offer and the chance to win weekly cash prizes. For example enter before May 15th 2022 and you could win a Mustang Mach-E. Look out for other incentive prize draws to encourage you to purchase tickets. In terms of good causes, Blood Cancer UK will also benefit from ticket sales. Omaze has guaranteed a minimum total payment of £100,000 for the charity. Note that the competition is open to UK residents only.

Our Verdict

This is the third Omaze competition on the trot that we've thought we wouldn't mind winning that house. Whether we could afford to live there is another matter and we really do wish Omaze would provide a bit more background on their properties. Mind if you win and can't afford to maintain the prize then selling it makes you an instant millionaire so maybe it's not a vital element in the machine. One thing we would like though is for Omaze to let us know there's a new property prize draw when they send out their press releases to various media organisations. Enter Competition Here
