2021 has been a busy one for house competitions but not all have resulted in property winners. However Omaze guarantee their prizes so someone always wins and they've been responsible for a few winners in 2021. They'll also be at least one Omaze winner in 2022 as they've now launched their sixth UK house raffle and this time they've chosen The Lake District as their location. The exact location of the property isn't given although we're told it has incredible views of Lake Windermere. We'd not be surprised if Loquax users figure out the exact location so do check out the comments below. The property is valued at £3million.

About The Property

The home boasts "six bedrooms, six bathrooms, a gym, a sauna and a cinema room". This is all spread over four floors - the basement houses the gym and sauna, bedroom 6 can be found on the ground floor which we guess could be converted to an office, four bedrooms are on the first floor whilst the second bedroom - complete with ensuite occupies the top floor. There’s no mortgage, no stamp duty or conveyancing to pay. Omaze suggest that the property is perfect for holiday lets and could bank you an incredible £12,000 per month. One thing to remember is that big houses cost big money to run and again Omaze don't provide information regarding general costs such as council taxes etc. Having a millionaire's house is fine provided you can afford to own it! A £20,000 cash prize will be included though to help you settle in or hang on to it long enough to sell.

How To Enter The Competition

Tickets for the competition cost £10 for 15 entries. Unfortunately you can't purchase less than £10 worth of tickets. Other ticket packages cost £25 (40 entries), £50 (85 entries) and £150 (320 entries). For a free entry you can send a postcard or envelope to the address given on the website. This is worth doing as "once a postal entry has been processed it will be entered in to the next available draw and all subsequent draws until the final Grand Prize drawing". Confusingly the terms state you can make one entry via the free entry route and then says that there is "no limit to the number of entries" made that way!

Guaranteed Prizes

As we mentioned in the other competitions, we think that it's worth entering this Omaze competition as the prize is guaranteed even if not enough tickets are sold. This means there will be a home winner and no competition extensions. Additionally there are early bird entry prizes on offer and the chance to win weekly cash prizes. For example enter before December 26th 2021 and you could win a Mercedes-Benz G-Class. There's also a weekly £1000 cash prize draw for entrants. In terms of good causes, Alzheimer’s Research UK will also benefit from ticket sales. Omaze has guaranteed a minimum total payment of £100,000 for the charity. Note that the competition is open to UK residents only.

Our Verdict

This is another stunning property in the Omaze UK Million Pound House prize draw portfolio - and we know someone is going to win it. We would like it if Omaze did include running costs within the property details but perhaps that's not amongst most entrants considerations. We guess that if you can't afford to keep the property - either to live in or rent out - then it should be relatively easy to sell on, even at a lower than Omaze's valuation. Hopefully this will be the first of a number of Omaze prize draws in 2022 and that helps boost the reputation of the win a house raffles market. Enter Competition Here
