It didn't take long for us to locate the latest win a house prize from Omaze. A quick Google image search and voila we discover that it's a stunning coach house in it's own parkland on the outskirts of Bath. Located on Hayeswood Road in Timsbury this property actually recently sold via Savills. Interestingly Savills show a guide price of £3.5million but Omaze list the value at £3.25million. We wonder whether their purchase was at a slightly lower amount! The property sold in March 2022 for £3.4million but the sale before that - way back in 2002 - was for £860,000 (The Move Market). The same site shows that The Coach House, as it's known, appears to be the most expensive property in that area of properties.

About The Property

The Coach House in Somerset boasts six bedrooms. Five of these are on the first floor and includes the main bedroom with en-suite. One further bedroom has an en-suite. Downstairs is a sixth bedroom and this too has en-suite making it ideal as a guest room. The remainder of the ground floor comprises of a huge living room/lounge/dining room, kitchen and breakfast room, study and drawing room. The property has recently been extended and renovated. Outside you'll find the property is set in 14.76 acres that includes three garages and a workshop. There are even some Californian Redwoods thriving here. The property comes fully furnished so it's ready to move in to or rent out. According to Omaze if you choose to rent it then you could realise a long-term monthly income of around £6000 to £8000 per month. To help you pay for your new millionaire lifestyle - and maintain the grounds - the prize also includes £100,000 in cash.

How To Enter The Competition

To enter the prize draw you simply need to purchase tickets. Tickets for the competition cost £10 for 15 entries. Unfortunately you can't purchase less than £10 worth of tickets. Other ticket packages cost £25 (40 entries), £50 (85 entries) and £150 (320 entries). A subscription service is also available. Pay £10 a month for 30 entries. Do check the terms before siging up for this! For a free entry you can send a postcard or envelope to the address given on the website. This is worth doing as "once a postal entry has been processed it will be entered in to the next available draw and all subsequent draws until the final Grand Prize drawing". Postal entries have an equal chance of winning as any one paid entry. If a postal entry wins a prize there will be no further purchase or payment necessary to be notified of the win or to receive the prize.

Guaranteed Prizes

As we mentioned in the other competitions, we think that it's worth entering this Omaze competition as the prize is guaranteed even if not enough tickets are sold. This means there will be a home winner and no competition extensions. Additionally there are early bird entry prizes on offer and the chance to win weekly cash prizes. For example enter before 10th December 2023 and you could win £250,000. Gift vouchers are also being given away in Big Dreamer giveaways that will also take place during the promotion and each segment of this part of the draw will create up to 5000 winners. In terms of good causes, The RSPCA will also benefit from ticket sales. Omaze has guaranteed a minimum total payment of £100,000 for the charity but suggest that they expect to donate up to one million. Note that the competition is open to UK residents only.

Our Verdict

Living down in South Wales this particular property has a lot more appeal than the £5million Townhouse located in Chelsea. Omaze have opted to dress the property for the festive season and so there's a Christmas tree or two scattered around the rooms. The roaring log burner that sits in the middle of the open plan living area looks very inviting. However the feeling I get from looking at images of The Coach House is that it's just looks that bit too nice - perhaps even too perfect. It looks like somewhere you'd go for a weekend break rather than live all the time or even be able to put your own stamp on. Still if you win then you're a millionaire and could either rent out or sell on if you didn't fancy rattling around 14.76 acres of land close to Bath! Enter Competition Here
