Surprisingly this is the first property located in Scotland that Omaze UK have offered. Like the last couple of Omaze prizes this one wasn't too hard to discover thanks to it's distinctive style. A quick Google image search and we discover that Bowker Sadler were the architects of the property that's known as Tantallon Lodge. It's a fairly new property having been built in 2022 and has recently been up for sale (On The Market). According to The Courier it was put up for sale at £3.75million and we can guess that Omaze are the buyers! In terms of location it's situated in the exclusive Gleneagles Village and overlooks the third fairway of the famous course. We think that it'd work very well as a rental property, even if it's only for times when the course is hosting events!

About The Property

If you love golf then the location of Tantallon Lodge is perfect in itself, but what of the property? Well it's a six bedroom, six bathroom luxurious home that's spread across several floors. The basement boasts a wine cellar and plant room, whilst the ground floor features a gym, family room, dining room, living room, kitchen, studies and even a cinema room. The six bedrooms can be found on floors one and two where you'll also find an entertainment room. Just in case that doesn't impress you you'll also have a guest apartment that has it's own bedroom, living area and a virtual golf room! The property comes fully furnished so it's ready to move in to or rent out. According to Omaze if you choose to rent it then you could realise a long-term monthly income of around £7,500 per month. To help you pay for your new millionaire lifestyle the prize also includes £100,000 in cash.

How To Enter The Competition

To enter the prize draw you simply need to purchase tickets. Tickets for the competition cost £10 for 15 entries. Unfortunately you can't purchase less than £10 worth of tickets. Other ticket packages cost £25 (40 entries), £50 (85 entries) and £150 (320 entries). A subscription service is also available. Pay £10 a month for 30 entries. Do check the terms before siging up for this! For a free entry you can send a postcard or envelope to the address given on the website. This is worth doing as "once a postal entry has been processed it will be entered in to the next available draw and all subsequent draws until the final Grand Prize drawing". Postal entries have an equal chance of winning as any one paid entry. If a postal entry wins a prize there will be no further purchase or payment necessary to be notified of the win or to receive the prize.

Guaranteed Prizes

As we mentioned in the other competitions, we think that it's worth entering this Omaze competition as the prize is guaranteed even if not enough tickets are sold. This means there will be a home winner and no competition extensions. Additionally there are early bird entry prizes on offer and the chance to win weekly cash prizes. For example enter before 15th October 2023 and you could win a Porsche Macan GTS. Gift vouchers are also being given away in Big Dreamer giveaways that will also take place during the promotion and each segment of this part of the draw will create up to 5000 winners. In terms of good causes, Breast Cancer Now will also benefit from ticket sales. Omaze has guaranteed a minimum total payment of £100,000 for the charity but suggest that they expect to donate up to one million. Note that the competition is open to UK residents only.

Our Verdict

The property on offer is stunning and whilst it's not a location that appeals to us, the options of either selling or renting more than make up for it. Once again Omaze are keeping the run time of their prize draws to a real minimum with this one only running for just under six weeks. Again we think this indicates that their subscription level is sufficiently high to keep these prize draws running. Furthermore the likes of the Win My Home in Nottingam debacle simply fuse Omaze's place in the house prize draw sector. Entrants are less likely to risk their cash on any potential new comers and instead focus on the brand that's regularly creating million pound house winners. That's great news for Omaze but not for the sector as a whole because it really could do with other options aside from Raffle House and Tramway Path. Enter Competition Here
