Omaze are heading back overseas for their latest property prize draw. Back in 2022 they gave away a £2million villa in Marbella but this year they're offering a £3million villa in Mallorca. Details from Omaze about the villa's exact location on the island are limited. In fact there's nothing that gives us any clues. Frustratingly Google image searches on the images of the property don't help much either. Our searches brought up a hotel in Mallorca and places in Provence - not much help. However media reports on the property suggest that it overlooks the Serra de Tramuntana mountains and close to the town Selva and village Caimari. Unfortunately we've not been able to nail down any specific estate agent listing for this particular villa.

About The Property

The villa in Mallorca has four bedrooms and four bathrooms. The main bedroom plus en-suite occupies the top floor alongside two other bedrooms. A guest bedroom with ensuite is on the first floor together with spacious hallways, a snug and an office. On the ground floor you'll find a large open plan living area and kitchen. A roof top terrace, swimming pool, gardens and outside dining area complete what looks to be a stunning villa. According to Omaze if you choose to rent it then you could realise a monthly income of around £3000 per month (although you may need a license to rent out for all year round?). To help you pay for your new millionaire lifestyle the prize also includes £250,000 in cash (up from £100K in the previous draw).

How To Enter The Competition

To enter the prize draw you simply need to purchase tickets. Tickets for the competition cost £10 for 15 entries. Unfortunately you can't purchase less than £10 worth of tickets. Other ticket packages cost £25 (40 entries), £50 (85 entries) and £150 (320 entries). A subscription service is also available. Pay £10 a month for 30 entries. Do check the terms before siging up for this! For a free entry you can send a postcard or envelope to the address given on the website. This is worth doing as "once a postal entry has been processed it will be entered in to the next available draw and all subsequent draws until the final Grand Prize drawing". Postal entries have an equal chance of winning as any one paid entry. If a postal entry wins a prize there will be no further purchase or payment necessary to be notified of the win or to receive the prize.

Guaranteed Prizes

As we mentioned in the other competitions, we think that it's worth entering this Omaze competition as the prize is guaranteed even if not enough tickets are sold. This means there will be a home winner and no competition extensions. Additionally there are early bird entry prizes on offer and the chance to win weekly cash prizes. For example enter before 14th January 2024 and you could win a Maserati Grecale. Gift vouchers are also being given away in Big Dreamer giveaways that will also take place during the promotion and each segment of this part of the draw will create up to 5000 winners. In terms of good causes, Alzheimer's Research UK will also benefit from ticket sales. Omaze has guaranteed a minimum total payment of £100,000 for the charity but suggest that they expect to donate up to one million. Note that the competition is open to UK residents only.

Our Verdict

What better way to start 2024 than by becoming the owner of a luxury villa in the sun. OK Mallorca might not be the warmest at this time of year but the thought of some sun - even for a few fleeting momemnts - makes this prize quite tempting. Having a property overseas, even one that's worth £3million, might cause a few issues (you'll need a visa if you want to spend more than 90 days out of 180) plus there's tax issues to consider if you look at rental options and even if you go on and sell. On top of that we think you'll also need licences to rent out the property. Still those headaches are probably easier to manage if you're the owner of a £3million villa with £250,000 in the bank.
