Although their 3rd competition has yet to close, Raffle House have decided to launch a 4th property contest. This time they've chosen Birmingham as the location and a £250,000 apartment in The Jewellery Quarter. Because this new competition coincides with the last month of the London Flat (Raffle House 3) this gives the platform the option to cross-sell tickets. At time of writing (June 2021) entrants purchasing tickets for one property competition automatically get entries into the other.

About The Property

The apartment has one well appointed bedroom and an "uber chic and modern bathroom". The living space is open plan and you can review a floorplan on the competition page. According to the site the property on offer is in Block 2 and on the third floor. We don't think that the apartment will come fully furnished but the prize does include £3000 to help you settle in and cover any bills. Details of service charge costs are not provided. Stamp Duty however will be paid. Note that the property is under construction but is due to complete at the end of 2021. If you'd prefer not to take the flat as a prize then a £200,000 cash alternative is available.

How To Enter The Competition

To enter the competition you simply need to select the number of tickets that you wish to purchase. One ticket will cost you £2 but should you opt to buy in bulk then you can get extra free tickets. Once you've made your selection then you simply buy the tickets by logging on to the website. There is no question to answer! However there is now a free postal entry option. Note that you must be registered with Raffle House to use this option. Entrants can choose to donate 5p of every ticket purchased to a homelessness charity. The choices are Centre Point and Housing For Women.

450,000 Tickets

Raffle House have set the initial closing date for this competition as the end of September 2021. This is quite ambitious given that their 3rd competition ended up with an extension! They aim to sell 450,000 paid tickets (£900,000 revenue based on purchases of £2 tickets). This ticket target is 200,000 less than for their London Flat that was worth a lot more in value. If not enough tickets are sold then either a 90% cash sum (after deductions) can be awarded or the competition can be extended by up to a maximum of six months.

Fixed Odds Competitions

Since Raffle House launched they've added more and more ways to win on their website. These include Fixed Odds competitions and a weekly lifestyle pay to enter prize draw. The Fixed Odds competitions tend to offer chances to win tickets for the dream house raffles. These are worth looking at just to see how many tickets have been sold as usually the prizes are guaranteed regardless of number. Additionally there are Lifestyle prize raffles on offer each week. Tickets start from 30p but it does seem that the confusing cross sells between these raffles and the house raffles have stopped.

Our Verdict

Raffle House has evolved considerably over the last year to establish themselves as a property contest and pay to enter competition platform. The launch of this competition before the third has completed may be a smart marketing move. It may help push the London Flat over the line or soften any social media backlash should it the competition generate a cash winner. The £2 entry fee is good value and there's even better value to be gained by keeping tabs on special offers either via social media or on the website. We would like to see this one complete within the first three months but suspect the ticket target is too high. Enter Competition Here
