Redcar Seaside House

The North East continues to be a hotbed of win a house competitions and Redcar is the location of the latest. Unusually there's no back story to this particular contest. However judging from the images on Raffall we're thinking that the owner has perhaps done a bit of renovation on the property? From what we can see is that it's unfurnished so ready for a potential winner to move in to! Locality isn't given in the blurb but the street name is shown in a photo of the image. This gives us enough detail to estimate the valuation of the home at around £110,000.

How To Enter

The house is ten years old but as mentioned it does look as though it's been renovated with new floors. It has two bedrooms, spacious bathroom, kitchen and lounge which leads onto a rear garden. The property is wheelchair accessible. There isn't a garage but it does a double length drive plus boasts solar thermal panels. No details are given with respect to stamp duty and other fees but we're assuming this will be paid by the promoter. However we would like all Raffall competitions to include these details as standard just so there's no doubt.

To enter the raffle you need to be registered with Raffall. This can be done via Facebook or email login. Once at the house raffle page it's a case of answering a question and purchasing tickets. The question pops up in a window which we found disappeared very quickly. Tickets only cost £3 and there's no limit to the number you can purchase. You can purchase online using debit cards. No donations will be made to charity as part of this competition.

50,000 Ticket Sales

Craig Garideon Marron aims to sell 50,000 tickets (total revenue £150,000) by the end of April 2021 in order to conclude the draw. If insufficient tickets are sold then the winners will receive a share of the compensation amounting to 75% of all ticket sales. All compensation payments are guaranteed and paid directly by Raffall Limited. Note that if 100% of the tickets are not sold then the promoter receives nothing.

This looks quite a straightforward house competition. The property looks ideal for rental and/or as a first home. A few details about rental potential would be nice but these details should be easy enough to find online. One big plus point is that the promoter has set the ticket target at an attainable level. Too many recent competitions have had ridiculous targets. With a 50,000 sales target it could well be successful if enough local and media interest can get the ball rolling.
