Conor Ryan is the latest Irish resident to turn to Raffall as a way of giving away his home. As well as aiming to create a new home winner Conor is hoping proceeds from the competition will help to go towards the purchase of 40 defibrillators (worth €1000 each but will cost up to €50,000 in total). The property is located in the coastal town of Dungarvan which is about one hour away from Cork and 30 minutes away from Waterford. According to an article in The Irish Sun the property, if sold via estate agents, could fetch up to €230,000.
About The Property
Information about the property is relatively limited although Conor does give an actual address so you can look up the area online. The house itself is a semi detached property with three bedrooms, spacious living room and kitchen/dining room. Legal costs and stamp duty will be paid by the host. If you're not keen to move to the area then as the winner you could always rent out the property. According to the host it could bring in €900-€1000 per month (although we wonder if this will be seasonal as a holiday let). As well as the house the host will include cash and a car although details of the latter are not given.
How To Enter The Competition
To enter the raffle you need to be registered with Raffall. This can be done via Facebook or email login. Once at the house raffle page it's a case of answering a question and purchasing tickets. The question pops up in a window which we found disappeared very quickly. Tickets only cost £10 and there's no limit to the number you can purchase. You can purchase online using debit cards. As mentioned above, the host is aiming to use some of the proceeds to purchase defibrillators. Note this will only occur if the property is won.
50,000 Ticket Sales
The promoter hopes to sell 50,000 tickets (total revenue £500,000) by mid December 2021 in order to conclude the draw. If insufficient tickets are sold then the winners will receive a share of the compensation amounting to 75% of all ticket sales. All compensation payments are guaranteed and paid directly by Raffall Limited. This is a little bit different to house competitions run by individuals and should offer more assurance to entrants.
The year of Irish property raffles on Raffall continues. The aim of the host to purchase defibrillators is a nice addition to the competition, although it does have to conclude in order for Conor to achieve his target. Price wise this is relatively cheap for an Irish house competition so that may help it. However we do think the ticket target could be lower (although it's feasible it could still end at a lower target). Given the aim of the competition we wish Conor all the best with this one.
