Due to health issues the owner of this particular property wants to relocate to warmer climes. Therefore to facilitate the move they're hoping to sell the property via a competition on Raffall. Locality is limited to Bishop Auckland but we do know that the prize is a Wilcon built property situated on a quality residential estate on a cul-de-sac. The valuation of the home isn't given so we've estimated it at £150,000 pending further research.

How To Enter

The property is described as a family home and it has three bedrooms plus a family bathroom. Downstairs is a modern kitchen with appliances (which we assume are included in the sale), lounge and dining room. Outside the property benefits from a large detached garage with driveway plus gardens at the front and rear. Photos of the home can be seen on Raffall. All legal costs for the transfer of the property will be paid by the host.

To enter the raffle you need to be registered with Raffall. This can be done via Facebook or email login. Once at the house raffle page it's a case of answering a question and purchasing tickets. The question pops up in a window which we found disappeared very quickly. Tickets only cost £3 and there's no limit to the number you can purchase. You can purchase online using debit cards. If all the tickets are sold then the owner will donate 5% of revenue to West Country Dobermann Rescue.

70,000 Ticket Sales

The promoter of this competition, Robert Richardson, aims to sell just 70,000 tickets (total revenue £210,000) by the start of July 2021 in order to conclude the draw. If insufficient tickets are sold then the winners will receive a share of the compensation amounting to 75% of all ticket sales. All compensation payments are guaranteed and paid directly by Raffall Limited. Note that if 100% of the tickets are not sold then the promoter receives nothing.

There's not much to comment on with respect to this competition. The ticket price seems reasonable and 70,000 tickets realistic. A more accurate valuation would be useful. The big question is can the owners generate enough interest in order to sell all the tickets. A good local media campaign alongside regular updates on social media - similar to how other successful Raffall home competitions have done - could help.
