Having created one home winner with their first competition, Win Houses In Italy are back for a second go. To be fair we were surprised that the first competition completed given the high ticket price. However it attracted enough interest to sell 25,000 tickets so here's hoping that they can do it again. This time round they've got a beach house on the "coast of the gods", Pizzo Calabro, waiting to be won. The location is right down in the south of the country - almost 400km away from Naples. Lamezia Terme is the nearest airport at just 20km away.

About The Prize

The property is described as a "recently renovated beautiful town house" in the historic centre of the town. There are two bedrooms, two bathrooms and an open plan living space/kitchen. A balcony overlooks the sea and it's just a short walk to the beach. The property will come fully furnished so it's all set for use as a holiday home or rental property. The website is full of images of the property so you really do get a feel for the prize on offer. Transfer taxes and legal fees are covered by the promoter and the prize includes a trip to Italy to sort out transfer of ownershp.

How To Enter

To enter the competition you need to answer a multiple choice question. Click the green 'Enter Now' button and complete your details and the number of tickets you wish to purchase. You then need to answer the question about a famous Italian landmark. We're not sure whether the transaction will go through with a wrong answer but in our view it's very difficult to get the answer incorrect. A free entry option is available and details are given in the terms. Note that a postcard needs to be sent to a UK address.

10,000 Ticket Sales

The promoters, Letterbox Redd Ltd, hope to sell 10,000 tickets at £25 each (total revenue £250,000) before the mid September 2021 in order to conclude the draw. If insufficient tickets are sold then the winners will receive a cash prize. This will be after deductions for admin/marketing costs and a further 5% for charitable donations. The charity being supported is The Children’s Society. A referral element is included in the competition. Purchase a ticket and share your link for the chance to win £5,000. Note that this is only paid out if the property is awarded.

Our Verdict

Win Houses In Italy have stuck to the same formula which helped them successfully complete their first competition. We still feel that the ticket price is on the expensive side but if it works then we can't really argue against it. The property itself does look very attractive - an ideallyic location for a holiday home or rental property. With the latter in mind a bit more detail about potential rents and local taxes would be useful additions to the website.
