The purple patch of win a house prize draws continues with Bounty Competitions putting up their latest addition. This we believe is their 10th prize draw. On offer this time round is a brand new property that's currently being built by Stewart Milne. The good thing about a new build property is that it's not only easy to discover the location (Bounty kindly provide the info too) but there's a whole bunch of stuff online on the developers website. Head to Stewart Milne Homes to learn about the development, enhoy street views and discover more about the area. In case you don't know the area then Cove is situated south of Aberdeen. From the images on Bounty and those on Stewart Milne we think the home on offer is a Glencoe design. Price wise obviously is around £300K but we've not been able to get a fixed valuation.

About The Property

The property is brand new and has a provisional completion date of the 24th November 2023. It comprises of four bedrooms with the main bedroom having an en-suite. Downstairs comprises a lounge, kitchen/dining area and a study. A driveway, turfed garden, carpets and appliances complete the property part of the package. Note that it comes unfurnished but you do have £20,000 in cash to play with if you win. If having a new property and cash isn't enough for you then Bounty will also throw in a brand new Audi S3. Whilst this lovely new car will look great on your lovely new driveway it appears that you don't have a garage. However if owning property in the North East of Scotland isn't for you then Bounty are offering a £300,000 cash alternative should you want to take that. Note that this cash prize covers the car and £20K so you forgo everything for the money (a real hardship!!).

How To Enter The Competition

Entry to the prize draw is very easy. All you have to do is select your raffle ticket(s) and go on and purchase them. If you're not keen on trying to find your own lucky number then there is a lucky dip option. The latter is actually quite useful as it does save you wading through the lists of numbers trying to find one that appeals. Once you've picked your numbers then head to the checkout where you'll need to login/register and pay. Note that there are no questions to answer! If you're interested in playing but not necessarily paying then a no purchase necessary route is offered in the site's terms and conditions. But you'll need to be quick!

59000 Tickets

Bounty Competitions aim to sell 59000 tickets before the middle of November 2023 in order to complete the draw. Assuming all tickets are sold at full price that equates to just under £600,000 revenue, which given the prize values on offer makes for a tidy profit. Kudos as ever for Bounty who seem to really know how to target their audience. The prize draw has only just kicked off - and we've managed to get our review in pretty quickly - but already around 4000 tickets have sold. We'd be very surprised if this particular promotion doesn't close within the week and well before the named closing date. If you're thinking of a postal entry don't hang around sending it off. This kind of sales speed is something that many other platforms can only dream of!

Our Verdict

If you have a willing audience and the formula to market to them then it seems that shifting big property prizes is pretty easy. And this is great news for developers who could use platforms like Bounty to firstly shift a property or two but also grab some easy advertising for their developments. In our view this how this sector of competitions should - and could - have developed by now. If this works for Bounty and Stewart Milne then there may well be similar prize draws in the future. Of course success isn't guaranteed but it'd be a surprise if this doesn't complete. The cash alternative should help attract entrants who aren't interested in living in the area but we do wonder whether we might see this one go round again should the winner opt not to take the house?
