After a successful win a house competition a few months ago, Elite Competitions are aiming to do it all again. They're sticking to their local area of Lancashire but they've moved from Cleveleys to Poulton-le-Fylde, a market town north east of Blackpool. The good thing about Elite Competitions, especially when compared to Omaze, is that there's little detective work needed in locating the property. This is because Elite kindly publish the postcode. The property is valued at £425,000 which seems to be a little on the high side. According to Zoopla the bungalow was sold at £251,000 in October 2022 so that's an incredible increase in under 12 months. According to Elite the home has had £150,000 of renovations so perhaps that explains the valuation?

The Property

The property includes three bedrooms with an en-suite for the main bedroom. There's also an open planned kitchen-diner, double garage, and office space. According to Elite the renovation has included landscaped gardens, bathrooms and a full rear-width extension. There are plenty of pictures on the website showing images of the various rooms and to be fair it does look stunning. All furnishings are included so it's ready to move in or rent out should you prefer to do that. Last time round Elite mentioned that their prize included Mortgage Free, Solicitor Fee’s paid, Stamp Duty Paid etc. but this isn't mentioned in this draw. We expect that they would include it! There's no additional cash amount for the winner but if you'd prefer not to take the home - should you win - then you could instead opt for a £375,000 cash prize.

How To Enter The Competition

To enter the prize draw for the chance to win this bungalow in Poulton-le-Fylde you simply need to purchase your tickets from Elite. There aren't any questions to answer but you will need to register. Tickets can be purchased as singles and it seems the max you can purchase is 200. Payments can be made using PayPal, Visa, MasterCard and Apple Pay. As always it might be discount codes and/or chances to win tickets on Elite Competitions' social media pages so do check. There is a free entry route offered for entrants who wish to take that option. Entry is via postcard and details about how to complete your entry are given on the website. Only one Postal Entry is permitted per prize draw for each registered account. Postal Entries are limited to one entry per person to each draw.

199,975 Tickets

Elite Competitions aim to sell a maximum of 199975 tickets at £4.99 - or £5.99 if not discounted - (total revenue of just under £1million) in just a few weeks with the draw concluding at the end of October 2023. The ticket price is reasonable although it'll be interesting to see if Elite sell out. With such a high ticket target they can guarantee the property will be won at around 25-30% sales. At time of writing just under 9,000 tickets had been sold so there's a long way to go. Interestingly this is a little bit slower in terms of uptake than their previous property prize draw. As far as we know there are no charity donations planned for this particular prize draw and the property will be awarded regardless. Their FAQ states that the "draw will always go ahead regardless of the ticket sales".

Our Verdict

It definitely seems that property prize draws are now moving into the domain of raffle style sites. The big sites have the audience and know how to sell large volumes of tickets. We guess that there's a pretty tidy profit in it for them too. The property on offer may not appeal to everyone but we like the fact that Elite are offering a cash alternative - something that they didn't do in their previous contest. Although it's £50K less than the given property value we still think it's a better option than taking the home unless you want to live in the area. We expect Elite might well run this one again if the cash prize is taken. Another bonus in this particular draw is the instant win element. Remember not every instant win prize gets won unless all tickets are sold! Enter Competition Here
