The latter half of 2020 has been all about overseas property raffles and joining the club is an impressive luxury villa in Spain. It's locality is given as the "beautiful Costa Blanca" which is great but the Costa Blanca covers quite a wide area. We're told that the property has stunning mountain and sea views but that doesn't help narrow down the nitty gritty. Would be winners might want to know which towns are nearby and how far is the nearest airport. Is the property ideal for holiday rentals or is it more a home for someone considering moving to Spain?
How To Enter The Competition
What we do know is that it has seven bedrooms, a fully functioning gym, jacuzzi room, outdoor pool, outdoor BBQ and bar area plus two private parking spots. One of those parking spots will be taken up by a 2017 Jeep Renegade which is included in the prize. Details about the car including mileage are not provided. There are a few pictures of the property and the one with the pool may be key in making you decide that an £8 investment is worthwhile. However there are no details with respect to whether the property will come fully furnished or not?
To enter the raffle you need to be registered with Raffall. This can be done via Facebook or email login. Once at the house raffle page it's a case of answering a question and purchasing tickets. The question pops up in a window which we found disappeared very quickly. Tickets only cost £8 and there's no limit to the number you can purchase. You can purchase online using debit cards. No donations are being made to charity in this particular competition.
100,000 Ticket Sales
The owner, only known as Costa Blanca Villa, aims to sell 100,000 tickets (total revenue £800,000) by February 2021 in order to conclude the draw. If insufficient tickets are sold then the winners will receive a share of the compensation amounting to 75% of all ticket sales. All compensation payments are guaranteed and paid directly by Raffall Limited. Note that if 100% of the tickets are not sold then the promoter receives nothing.
We're not sure of the value of the property so the ticket target may be realistic in those terms. However 100,000 x £8 is a tall order for an overseas property and for Raffall competitions. We'd be surprised if this particular raffle completes. It could help it's chances better though by providing more detail about location, rental opportunities, running costs etc. Too many promoters are just adding the minimum of details and expecting hordes of ticket buyers. Sorry but house raffles require work and overseas ones even more so.
