My Lovely Horse Animal Rescue is an animal welfare organisation that rescues, rehabilitate and re-homes unwanted, neglected and abused animals. They're using the Raffall platform to offer a property prize and hopefully raise €200,000 for the charity. Whilst we know platforms like Omaze exist to help good causes we think this may the first time a good cause has used Raffall to giveaway a property. The property in question is located in Dublin's Royal Canal Park and has a valuation of just over €400,000. Isn't it great when hosts put all the details in their competition blurb!

About The Property

The property has three bedrooms and comprises of three floors. A kitchen, dining area, living room, and bathroom are on the ground floor whilst the main bedroom with ensuite occupies the top floor. The first floor houses a single room, double room and bathroom. There's free parking plus free on-site gym membership. Dublin City Centre is a 10 minute bus ride away so the property is ideal for rental - although details about potential rents aren't included. The host will pay all fees and stamp duty. Note that the house also comes fully furnished.

How To Enter The Competition

To enter the raffle you need to be registered with Raffall. This can be done via Facebook or email login. Once at the house raffle page it's a case of answering a question and purchasing tickets. The question pops up in a window - for this particular competition you'll need to answer a multiple choice question. Tickets cost £20 each and there's no limit to the number you can purchase. You can purchase online using debit cards. All revenue made from this property raffle will go to My Lovely Horse Rescue, but do note this only applies if the property is won.

40,000 Ticket Sales

The promoter hopes to sell 40,000 tickets (total revenue £800,000) by the end of July 2022 in order to conclude the draw. If insufficient tickets are sold then the winners will receive a share of the compensation amounting to 50% of all ticket sales, 40% will go to the charity and 10% paid to Raffall - this is different to other draws but is a special agreement between all parties. All compensation payments are guaranteed and paid directly by Raffall Limited. This is a little bit different to house competitions run by individuals and should offer more assurance to entrants.

Our Verdict

This is a well put together competition and hopefully will do well. What we like is that the host is very clear about the property, the money raised and ticket sales. For example although the ticket target is 40,000 the host explains that the property will be won if a minimum of 32,000 tickets are sold. The big question is can they shift that number of tickets? A quick look at their Facebook page and they have over 60K in followers - so if just half purchased a ticket then it could work out well. A few of the Ireland House Competitions added recently don't fill us with confidence - this one may be the best option to spend your £20. Enter Competition Here
