What it is with pay to enter prize draw sites in Northern Ireland? They all seem to be doing well and are trying their hand at property giveaways. This we think is Vogue Competition's second property giveaway but who are they? They're well established and boast over 110K followers on Facebook and over 22K followers on Instagram. Giveaways aren't a new venture for them and a quick look on their website shows 26 pages of winners. This property represents their biggest ever giveaway. On offer is a three bedroom home which unusually shows the address (30 Old Mill Court). However this property is also listed for sale - which is a bit of "no no" - when it comes to prize draws. According to Oakland Estate Agents the property has a guide price of £219,950, so that's the price we've used for this particular review.

The Property

The property being offered is a renovated three bedroom house. It includes a reception room, home office, garage, EV charging point, brand new hot tub and a garden set. The property also comes fully furnished. For more details we suggest checking out the estate agent listing by following the link above. They say that the home office could easily be changed to a fourth bedroom whilst the downstairs features an open plan livingroom/kitchen/dining arrangement. Many pay to enter prize draw sites like to include cash and cars in their house bundles, but Vogue Competitions don't seem to be including anything. We're assuming that all legal costs are being met by them though. If the property and cash don't appeal but you still wish to enter then there's a £235,000 cash alternative on offer instead.

How To Enter The Competition

To enter the prize draw for the chance to win this renovated home in Northern Ireland you simply need to purchase your tickets from Vogue Competitions. You'll need to answer a shockingly easy question and then select the number of tickets that you wish to buy. Tickets can be purchased as singles and it seems the max you can purchase is 1000 (we think that this is too high with respect to responsible gambling). There are discounts should you opt to buy 3, 5 or 10 tickets plus there's an early bird discount of 50% (at time of writing). There is a free entry route offered for entrants who wish to take that option. Entry is via postcard and details about how to complete your entry are given on the website. Note that if you choose to enter via the NPN route then you'll need to be quick!

39995 Tickets

Vogue Competitions aim to sell a maximum of 39995 tickets at £25 (total revenue of just under £1million provided all tickets are sold at max price) in just a few weeks with the draw concluding at the start of May 2024. This date will be earlier if all tickets are sold. The ticket price is expensive but there are discounts on the site (you may also find discounts and giveaways on Facebook as the promotion proceeds). At time of writing just over 8000 tickets had been sold so there's a long way to go. We'd estimate that Vogue Competitions would need to shift another 8000 tickets at the early bird price just to match the value of the house. As far as we're aware there are no payments being made to charity for this particular draw.

Our Verdict

It's good to see different platforms jumping on the win a house bandwagon and early signs suggest that Vogue Competitions won't be spending too long shifting tickets. However it'll be interesting to see how sales go if/when the original price of £25 is restored or if they stick at moving things at the discounted £12.50. Our advice is try and grab the early bird or hold on because £25 is too pricey. The house itself is ideal for anyone in that region but outside of the area we suspect most will choose to take the £200,000 cash. Whilst we're not big fans of seeing a prize property also believed to be actively listed on an estate agent we're guessing - judging by early sales - that it won't be there for much longer.
