Win A Family Home is a standalone site from The Roberts Family that offers entrants the chance to win a stunning property in South Wales. Located in Crymych, Pembrokeshire, Brynawelon it is conveniently located 15 minutes from Newport Beach and Cardigan Bay. As well as giving the location the owners also provide a valuation - which is fabulous - and the property is currently valued at almost £700,000! Unusually for these kind of competitions the reasons for the sale and choosing to raffle it aren't given.
About The Property
The property has three double bedrooms plus a master bedroom with views of the hills. The ground floor boasts natural slate flooring throughout and this includes lounge/dining room and large family kitchen. There are Thermal Solar Panels and even your own water supply. Another detached property is included in the prize plus entrants can opt to include 3 stables, tack room and 9 acres of land. All fees will be paid plus the winner - if the property is won - will also receive a 10,000 ‘Moving In’ Bonus.
How To Enter
To enter the prize draw you need to be registered with Win A Family Home. Once registered/logged in you'll be invited to answer two questions. Ticket prices cost £3 each and there's no limit to the number you can purchase. As far as we're aware there's no savings for making bulk purchases. Win A Family Home are supporting Macmillan Cancer Support Charity. If you wish to donate £1 with your ticket purchase then the hosts will match all donations by the closing date.
418,000 Ticket Sales
The hosts aims to sell a minimum of 418,000 paid tickets (total revenue £1.254 million) by the end of November 2021 in order to conclude the draw. A maximum of 500,000 tickets are available (total revenue £1.5 million). A no purchase necessary option is available. Details are provided in the FAQ. Postal entries require the answers to the skill question so you'll still need to register. The closing date can be extended by up to three months if not enough tickets are sold. If insufficient tickets are sold then the winners will receive a share of the compensation amounting to 70% of the prize pot.Our Verdict
It's good to see that people are still willing to give the house raffle route a try. The property on offer is attractive and located in a beautiful part of Wales. Ticket prices are reasonably priced but the target of 418,000 tickets may be a tough ask. The hosts will need to work hard to get the ball rolling and getting a good number of sales. The link sharing element of the competition - which gives the winner the chance to take a £10,000 cash prize or £10,000 worth of tickets - will help that but do be aware nothing will be awarded if the house isn't won.
Competition Cancelled
As of September 2021 the hosts have decided to cancel the competition "due to very slow participation/uptake". All entrants will be refunded.
