Folk in West Yorkshire - and especially in the Wakefield area - do like their house raffles and here's another one for you. This time you have the chance to win a three bedroom property that's located close to Featherstone. Exact details about locality are as alway with Raffalls unavailable plus we don't have any indication of property valuation. We've made a rough estimate based on Zoopla listings but without additional information we can't make a more informed estimate. Naturally we'll update as necessary.
How To Enter The Competition
Apart from having three bedrooms we know the property has a well presented lounge area with feature bay window, contemporary kitchen and bathroom, decking in the garden and room for parking at the front. No furniture will be included as the prize but the promoter will instead add £10,000 cash to the main prize. As far as we know all other costs such as stamp duty etc will be met by the promoter. There are images of the property on the Raffall website. These show off the rooms however there doesn't seem to be any images for the outside of the home.
To enter the raffle you need to be registered with Raffall. This can be done via Facebook or email login. Once at the house raffle page it's a case of answering a question and purchasing tickets. The question pops up in a window which we found disappeared very quickly. Tickets only cost £2 and there's no limit to the number you can purchase. You can purchase online using debit cards. If all the tickets are sold then the owner will donate 5% of revenue to NHS Charities Together. £10,000 will also be donated to Heronbank Cat Rescue.
180,000 Ticket Sales
The promoter of this competition, Victoria Marie, aims to sell 180,000 tickets (total revenue £360,000) by the end of 2021 in order to conclude the draw. If insufficient tickets are sold then the winners will receive a share of the compensation amounting to 75% of all ticket sales. All compensation payments are guaranteed and paid directly by Raffall Limited. Note that if 100% of the tickets are not sold then the promoter receives nothing.
There's a lot to like about this particular competition. It's cheap to enter, the owner has included a lot of detail on the Raffall page (including possible rental income and plan of the property), the extra cash and charitable donations. On the flipside we'd love to know why the competition images are missing an outside shot of the home. Additionally we're wondering whether the ticket target is optimistically high especially when looking at three bedroom property valuations in and around Featherstone.
