Win A Flat - Cash Winner

Property Developers, Equinox Living, are giving away a new build apartment at Abbey House in Bracknell, Berkshire. £5 buys a ticket and Uri Geller will announce the winner live! Closing date extended!

Winner: Zara Whiteley

Launched: 3rd April 2018 Closed: 30th November 2018

Location: Bracknell, RG12 1BP

House Value: £210000

Ticket Price: £5.00 (Free Entry Available)

Tickets Sold: Unknown

The prize is a 1 bedroom ground floor flat with lounge/kitchen and bathroom. The development is currently being built and the property is expected to be available from August 2018. The property will come with a 10 year home owner's warranty and a 999 year lease.

Quality Fixtures & Fittings

The ground rent is estimated to be £300 per annum and the service charge is estimated to be £1100 per annum. The site doesn't give any indication of potential rental income, but as a new build we suspect it would be an attractive option on the rental market.

The flat, based on the images and videos from the website, does look great. It's most certainly one of the most appealing prizes we've seen and has the advantage of being brand new. It comes with "quality fixtures and fittings", appliances, Hyperoptic broadband and a video entry system. The prize is valued at £210,000 plus £2000 for legal fees.

Uri Geller!

However, there's no indication of the maximum number of tickets available. Nor is there any indicator of the minimum number that must be sold before the property is awarded. The promoters are confident that they will giveaway the property and have no provision for an extended closing date in the terms.

The winner of the competition will be announced by Uri Geller live on the 30th November 2018 (extended from 31st July). In the event that insufficient tickets are sold then a cash alternative will be offered. This cash prize will be minus setup expenses (unspecified) and a 10% donation to the Landpaid.org charity.

Winner Announced

As promised, Uri Geller did do a live draw and Zara Whiteley was named as the winner. We're assuming by the lack of information that Zara won a cash prize and not the flat. However there are no details regarding number of tickets sold or the prize awarded. Enter Competition Here
