If you think this particular Greek Villa sounds familiar then you'll be right. It is in fact the second time this property has been put up as a prize in a win a house prize draw. Win A Greek Villa originally ran on the Raffall platform (July to December 2020) and aimed to sell 500,000 tickets at £1 each. Unfortunately, only around 2850 tickets were sold thereby resulting in a cash winner. For their second attempt at creating a property winner, Alexis George has gone to the other price extreme and put a hefty £100 entry cost (£50 for early birds).

About The Property

The villa, which is located in the Korfos area of Greece, boasts four bedrooms, three bathrooms and two kitchens which are spread over three floors. It comes with central heating, a fireplace in the living room and air conditioning. Terraces mean that you can enjoy panoramic and unobstructed views of the bay of Korfos and the surrounding mountains. As well as the property the winner will also receive "£20k of brand new furniture in the charming local style". All legal costs for title exchange of the property will covered by the host. A further £5000 cash amount will also be included in the package.

How To Enter

To purchase a ticket you simply need to visit the competition page, select the number of tickets you wish to purchase and answer a multiple choice question. You aren't told if the answer you've selected is right or wrong so use Google first if you're unsure. At checkout you'll be asked to create an account with Raffique if you've not already got one. Payments are managed with Vivawallet. As far as we can see there are no limits to the number of tickets you can purchase per competition. A free entry postal option can be found in the terms. Tickets cost £100 each but look out for special offers such as the £50 early bird.

4000 Ticket Sales

PropertyRaffle.com hopes to sell 4000 tickets (total revenue £387,500 - this total includes the first 250 tickets at £50) by the middle of April 2022 in order to conclude the draw. As far as we're aware the closing date will not be extended although it will be brought forward if all tickets sell early. If insufficient tickets are sold then the winners will receive a share of the compensation amounting to 75% of all ticket sales. According to PropertyRaffle.com the host will be making a donation to MIND. Note that if all tickets are sold then the winner can decide to take either the villa or a £250,000 cash prize.

Our Verdict

It's good to see another property raffle on the Raffique platform as this can only boost it's reputation for hosting such draws. A few more draws wouldn't go amiss though. But can this particular prize draw create Raffique's first property winner? Unfortunately overseas properties do still struggle with the win a house mechanic and a ticket price of £50/£100 is not going to make it any easier. Remember that the same property only attracted less than 3000 sales when the ticket price was just £1. On the plus side the limited number of tickets available may help - especially if with a fair wind the number of tickets start to climb.
