Win A Home In Dubai Review Cash Winner

A two bedroom apartment located in the heart of Dubai Marina is the prize in this house prize draw. For just £10 you could become the owner of your own place in Dubai which is valued at around £400,000. The draw is being hosted on Raffall so a cash alternative can be won if not enough tickets are sold.

After a handful of properties in Europe being offered as prizes the next destination is Dubai. As far as we know this may well be the first apartment offered in the UAE as part of a property prize draw? The host for this particular draw, Alex Hill, has provided quite a decent amount of information which makes a change for a Raffall promotion. For example we know that the apartment is located in the heart of Dubai Marina, "one of Dubai's most exclusive neighbourhoods". The Dubai Zip Line is located just across from the apartment so those of you who like checking these things out on Google will have no problems finding the location. As well as location we also have a valuation - 455,000 Euros (which for our purposes we've set to £400,000 as a rough guide).

About The Property

The apartment itself comes full furnished and has two bedrooms. According to the Raffall description you'll also find an open dining/living area that opens out onto a balcony with marina views. The kitchen is fully equipped whilst the complex has two swimming pools and gym. You also get a designated parking space for one car. All legal fees and charges will be paid by the raffle hosts. What we don't know is the ongoing community costs, taxes etc. or the process involved for the transfer of UAE property. There's no provision for flights/travel for the winner to complete the transfer. The host does suggest that you can earn an income of up to £25,000 by renting out the apartment but there are details about tax etc. These are the kind of things you may need to check up on.

How To Enter

To enter the raffle you need to be registered with Raffall. This can be done via Facebook or email login. Once at the house raffle page it's a case of answering a question and purchasing tickets. The question pops up in a window - for this particular competition you'll need to answer an easy multiple choice question about Steve Jobs and fruit. Tickets cost £10 and there's no limit to the number you can purchase. You can purchase online using debit cards. A charity donation will be made and 5% of the hosts revenue will go to Unicef. Note that this depends on the property being sold.

Unlimited Ticket Sales

There's no ticket target set by the host other than "unlimited" but we're suggesting that they need to achieve at least 50,000 ticket sales (£500,000 revenue). Tickets need to be sold by the end of June 2023 so there's quite a large window of opportunity to sell a few tickets. If insufficient tickets are sold then the winners will receive a share of the compensation amounting to 75% of all ticket sales. All compensation payments are guaranteed and paid directly by Raffall Limited. This is a little bit different to house competitions run by individuals and should offer more assurance to entrants.

Our Verdict

As far as we know this particular draw actually kicked off in September but isn't being flagged on Raffall. The host does have active social media pages and does seem to be attempting to build up a head of steam. It's going to be a hard sell for the host especially if he's attempting to drive sales without Raffall marketing (and to be fair even with that there's no guarantee of success). The property itself looks lovely and the rental potential is attractive. Whether there's 50,000+ willing ticket buyers that think the same remains to be seen.
