As well as three bedrooms - two of which are on the ground floor - the property also includes a kitchen, sunroom and separate garage. It was built in 1928 and boasts a "unique bell-cast pitched slate roof". The owners suggest that the property could achieve £1200 pcm as a rental or holiday home investment.
To enter the competition you need to answer a question regarding how many triangles can be seen in the figure shown. At the checkout you need to purchase a ticket based on your answer - as opposed to purchasing a ticket and then selecting an answer. We think this is a little confusing so just be aware.
Supporting Kids In Crisis
The owners hope to reach at least 145,000 ticket sales by the closing date. Note that the competition may be extended by up to 6 months if this target is not met. If the target is not attained then a cash prize will be awarded. This will be paid out at a rate of 75% of net revenues.
If the property is won then the owners will donate £10,000 to Kids in Crisis. A further £10,000 will also be paid to the winner to cover any moving costs etc. There's no indication if there will a charitable donation should the property not be won. Unlike a number of recent win a house competitions this one hasn't to date (May 2018) attracted much media interest. We like the fact that the owners have included a rental guide, although there's no indication of running costs.
October 2018 Update
Insufficient tickets were sold by the original closing date of 31st October 2018 so the owners have extended the compeititon until 30th April 2019. They say that "with improved marketing, increased social media exposure and addition of multi currency payment methods we should be able to reach much higher number of potential entrants"!
Competition Closed
The competition ended on 30th April 2019 and a winner is expected to be announced on 14th May 2019. However the house will not be the prize. The site states that they "did not receive the number of entries we anticipated and did not reach the required target. Despite our best efforts to advertise, the competition failed to attract mainstream media attention, ticket sales stayed low".
The winning ticket has been announced. Although not named they are from Doncaster, South Yorkshire. No details were given regarding the prize money or tickets sold.
