Whilst individuals seem to be shying away from house prize draws, raffle sites are taking up the challenge. For example Tidy Comps recently launched a giveaway, albeit at the extreme price of £100 a ticket and now they've been followed by Bounty Competitions. Bounty launched in 2020 and currently boasts over 130,000 followers on Facebook. They've given away a variety of prizes including cash and cars but we think that this is their first foray into the property raffle sector. On offer is a property in Aberdeen although the exact location is unknown. The site does say that it's the "perfect location to access Aberdeen Beach & City Centre". The property value isn't provided either but as the cash alternative is advertised at £250,000 then we'll stick with that as a guide.

About The Property

The property you can win is a four bedroom home. It has a sun room, large modern kitchen, conservatory, two living rooms, dining room, large rear garden and driveaway for two cars. Images of the property can be seen on Bounty's website. All costs are included - for example LBTT & Solicitor fees will be paid for. In addition the house "will be professionally cleaned with a fresh lick of paint before winner moves in". To help the winner move in to their new home a £10,000 cash prize is also included. We'd like to see more details about the property though including any potential rentals that could be achieved.

How To Enter The Competition

Entry to the prize draw is very easy. All you have to do is select your raffle ticket(s) and go on and purchase them. If you're not keen on trying to find your own lucky number then there is a lucky dip option. The latter is actually quite useful as it does save you wading through the lists of numbers trying to find one that appeals. Once you've picked your numbers then head to the checkout where you'll need to login/register and pay. Note that there are no questions to answer! If you're interested then a no purchase necessary route is offered in the site's terms and conditions.

48999 Tickets

Bounty Competitions aim to sell 48,999 tickets before the end of March in order to complete the draw. Assuming all tickets are sold at full price that equates to £489,500. There's no need to worry about what will happen if the competition doesn't sell enough tickets because it's already well on it's way to completion. As of 4th March - so just 24 hours after launching - an incredible 34,272 tickets have been sold. We'd be very surprised if this particular promotion doesn't close within the week. No charitable donations are being made by Bounty with respect to this draw, but the winner is given a further £10K to donate to a charity of their choosing.

Our Verdict

We've always said if you have a captive audience willing to participate in raffles then anything can happen. For Bounty Competitions to sell over 70% of their tickets within 24 hours is brilliant. At £9.99 the price is perhaps a little more expensive than some may be willing to punt but then again it's better than the £100 price tag being used by Tidy Comps. Also as we've seen from Froghopping cheap tickets also don't sell well if the platform is poor. House raffles have been poor in 2022 and here's hoping that Bounty's pretty much a given house winner success can breathe new life into the sector. Enter Competition Here
