After two successful prize draws (one winner taking the cash and the other accepting the property), Kilted Competitions are aiming for another success with their biggest every competition. On offer is a four bedroom new build home from Muir Homes which is located at The Grange in Laurencekirk. According to Kilted the style of the home is called The Lismore. On Muir Homes there's one of this style property available and it's listed £304,495 (Plot 49). Laurencekirk is a small town south of Aberdeen and north of Dundee. Brechin, Montrose and Arbroath are also closeby.

The Property

The Lismore is described as "an immaculate 4 bedroom family home full of light and character". Downstairs you'll find an open-plan kitchen/dinning/family room whilst upstairs are the bedrooms plus a spacious family bathroom. The main bedroom has an en-suite plus integrated wardrobes. The property is unfurnished but does have appliances and flooring included. The garden comes turfed plus there's a garage and driveway. To help you move in Kilted will include a £10,000 cash prize. Solicitors Fees & LBTT are also included. If a four bedroom home in Aberdeenshire isn't your cup of tea then there's a £250,000 cash alternative should you wish to take that - provided you win of course.

How To Enter

To enter the competition for the chance to win this home in Laurencekirk or cash alternative you simply need to answer a multiple choice question and then go on to purchase tickets. Note that the default ticket purchase is set to 5 so just be aware of that when you visit. There might be discount codes and/or chances to win tickets on Kilted Competitions' social media pages so do check. There is a free entry route offered for entrants who wish to take that option. Entry is via postcard and details about how to complete your entry are given on the website. Qualifying entrants must have created an account on the website for the free entry to be included. Postal entries received without a registered account will not be processed.

99999 Tickets

Kilted Competitions aim to sell a maximum of 99999 tickets at £5 (total revenue of just under £500,000) by the end of August 2024. The ticket price is lower than last time round and you can purchase up to 1999 tickets (not a good "safe gambling message"). Kilted have given themselves plenty of time to generate sales so it'll be interesting to see how quickly things go (or don't go). At time of writing just over 4200 tickets had been sold so there's a long way to go. In terms of charity donations, the winner will have £10,000 to donate to a cause of their choice. Kilted say that a guaranteed draw will take place so we know someone will definitely win either the property or cash.

Our Verdict

It's good to see Kilted back on the property prize draw wagon and it's good to see that at each turn they up the ante in terms of value. That suggests a sensible approach to the process. The property itself is attractive although perhaps only really attractive to entrants living in the area. Non-locals might want to consider rentals (although no details are given about potential rents) or accept the cash alternative, which is quite generous. As we mentioned last time round the only issue is the potential to purchase 1999 x £5 tickets - that's not good and we do think platforms offering house competitions really need to embrace a sensible approach when it comes to responsible play.

Some of the Bounty Competitions facebook members have alleged [Edited to remove information that might be incorrect] kept reporting their live stream last night as hate speech and therefore Facebook took down their live broadcasts and deleted them. Twice.

I'm unsure if they have any proof of this, as I doubt that FB reveal the names of people who have reported posts. But whoever did it, it was obviously coordinated enough that FB removed their streams.

Lianne and Calvin have said that it wasn't the one everyone was talking about that caused the live takedown and Calvin and Brett being unable to post, but they say they tried to remove the comments as soon as possible.

I'm sure it will all come out in the wash and if someone is targeting them they need to deal with it legally.
I've often thought that on the big prize draws some people were holding tickets as long as they could close to closing time without buying them so they couldn't sell out.

Bounty have sent an email out saying their facebook page has been restricted so they've created a backup. On facebook.

I guess that one will be restricted in about five minutes too.

I don't watch live streams and unaware of issues mentioned, just clicked on Bounty and facebook tab. All seems fine, they are going up to the new house to do a day and night photoshoot. Mentioned most expensive house so far and tickets still £10.
