Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it a bandwagon? Super Competitions 247 are the latest pay to enter prize draw site to join the growing list of platforms offering entrants the chance to win a home. On offer is a brand new property in the Lisburn area of Country Antrim. Lisburn can be found approximately 8 miles south west of Belfast on the River Lagan. The exact location of the property - well the development of the property because if you win you'll need to wait for it to be built - isn't known. We've done a search for a similar property that's shown in the Super Competitions image and the closest we could find was a Fairfields development but we're not 100% on this. If anyone can shed any further light on location feel free to comment below.

The Property

The property being offered is a brand new three bedroom house. Details are limited but that may be because the property hasn't been built! What we do know is that it has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room and dining room, spacious kitchen, garage and good sized back garden. If you win and choose the house then you'll need to wait 3 to 6 months for it to be built. And that's also subject to availability. All details and process will be looked after by the platform so we assume that includes legal fees, costs etc. If a brand new home in Lisburn doesn't sound like your cup of tea then a £200,000 cash alternative is being offered. Considering the property on offer - i.e. it's not built - this seems like the best option.

How To Enter The Competition

To enter the prize draw for the chance to win this new home in Northern Ireland you simply need to purchase your tickets from Super Competitions 247. A simple question about Steven Gerrard needs to be answered before you can purchase tickets. Tickets can be purchased as singles and it seems the max you can purchase is 1000. There are discounts should you opt to buy 3, 5 or 10 tickets. There is a free entry route offered for entrants who wish to take that option. Entry is via postcard and details about how to complete your entry are given on the website. Note that if you choose to enter via the NPN route then you do need to include the answer to the competition question.

60000 Tickets

Super Competitions 247 aim to sell a maximum of 60000 tickets at £9.99 (total revenue of £559,400 provided all tickets sold at max price) in just a few weeks with the draw concluding on the 22nd October 2023. The platform does suggest that the minimum requirement is just over 40,000 tickets. However ticket sales for this one have been pretty slow compared to Elite, That Prize Guy etc. At time of writing just 128 tickets have been sold. It's not clear what happens if insufficient tickets are sold by the 22nd but the FAQ suggests extensions may occur? As far as we're aware there are no payments being made to charity for this particular draw.

Our Verdict

It's good to see new platforms trying their hand at giving away a property as a prize, but it's not an easy thing to do. Super Competitions 247 lack the social media audience of an Elite Competitions or McKinney and that's reflected in a low take up of tickets at the start of the promotion. In terms of property it's hard to comment because there are so few details. We're not that keen on the idea of buying a new build plot, then waiting 3-6 months for it to be built or it being "subject to availability". Our view is that the prize giver should have the prize bought and paid for available to be given away. On a more positive note they are offering a £200,000 cash alternative. That said it's really hard to see how they're going to shift enough tickets to create a £200K or House winner. And with that in mind it'd be nice to know more details about what happens if not enough tickets are sold.

The prize draw was extended after the intial closing date of 22nd October. It's now been extended once more until the end of May. A few more tickets have been sold but after several months and numerous closing dates the total is 292 (22 sold since last updated). This may be on course for the longest ever house prize draw with the slowest ticket sales. These constant date changes are highly frowned upon by ASA/CAP and there surely has to be a time when Super Competitions 247 decide to put this one out of it's misery. We're now only keeping it live out of morbid curiousity. Enter Competition Here
