McKinney are obviously enjoying property prize draws because they're back with yet another one and we're only just in March. This time round they're in North West England with an apartment located in the Baltic Triangle area of Liverpool. The apartment is located a short walk from Liverpool ONE, the city’s leading shopping area, and puts you - should you become the new owner - right in the heart of the action. We believe the actual department is located in Parliament Square based on locating a building with apartments and a roof top spa. Apartments in the building vary in price, but there's a 2 bed apartment on sale for £244,000 currently listed on Zoopla. There's another listed for £220K on Rightmove which is useful to find out details regarding service charges and ground rent.

The Property

McKinney describe the property as an apartment with "an expansive open-plan kitchen, dining and living area. It is also fully equipped with TVs, all essential fixtures and fittings, and stunning views of the waterfront". There are two double bedrooms with one boasting an en-suite. The complex is like a hotel! It has 24/7 security, concierge service, a fitness centre, high-speed internet, meeting rooms and a stunning rooftop terrace with a hot tub. The property comes fully furnished and the pize bundle includes £20,000 to help you move in. According to the Rightmove link above you'll have to pay around £4000 in service charges and ground rent. As far as we can see McKinney don't seem to be paying this or for any taxes, legal fees. If a new apartment in Liverpool isn't for you then there's a cash prize alternative - which for this draw is set at £250,000.

How To Enter The Competition

To enter the competition for the chance to win property in Liverpool or cash alternative you simply need to answer a multiple choice question about the local music scene. Note that you're not told whether your answer is right or not but the question is so absurdly easy that you won't need Google to check. Once you've made your selection it's simply a case of completing the purchase of your tickets. There is a free entry route offered for entrants who wish to take that option. Entry is via postcard and details about how to complete your entry are given on the website. Obviously with just a few days left (sorry) and the current postal strikes it's probably a little too late to get any NPN entries in now.

49999 Tickets

McKinney Competitions aim to sell a maximum of 49999 tickets at £19.99 (total revenue just under £650,000 assuming full prices are paid) by the end of the month. This a still quite expensive for a property prize draw but it's still cheaper than some previous McKinney promotions. To encourage you further to play there are instant win prizes of £100-£500 up for grabs too. According to the website the draw date is "always brought forward to next working day after all tickets are designated" and that the "date counter is just a possible maximum draw date". At time of writing just over 1600 tickets had been sold. This one definitely won't sell out in 24 hours and replicate the success of Bounty's last draw.

Our Verdict

It's incredible to see McKinney offering yet another property. This is their 5th of the year! The apartment itself looks decent and we found one for rent at just over £1500 a month. However the service charge is pretty pricey and will eat into your income should you win and rent. We suspect most people would opt for the cash for this one. Ticket price wise we think it's a bit on the expensive side and disappointingly we don't see any responsible play messages on the site. We're not 100% sure but it does however seem you can only purchase a maximum of 10 tickets (can someone confirm?). We don't think McKinney sold out their last property prize draw so look out for discounts and/or opportunities to win free tickets on social media. Enter Competition Here
