Everybody's gone win a house crazy this month! McKinney are back again with yet another property draw but this time they're heading to Spain. La Zeina is a "small coastal urbanisation located in the province of Alicante" on the Costa Blanca and if you're lucky enough to win this draw then you could be enjoying some sun all year round in a new build three bedroom villa. The property can be found at Roldan and apparently has been up for raffle on McKinney before according to Amarghi. However we're not sure that's the case as McKinney were running a property in Portugal promotion around that time. We think that they've had this one up their sleeve for a while but have been waiting to shift others first.

The Property

The property being offered is located in the Roldan area of La Zenia, roughly 15 minutes away from the coast. The three bedroom villa is described as sleek and modern with an open plan living area. It comes with a modern fitted kitchen, heated pool, hot tub, BBQ euqipment and everything you need to enjoy the outdoor life in the sun. The villa is furnished plus has TV & internet all installed. McKinney don't give any details about rentals with respect to this villa, but if you do look at that as an opportunity don't forget to take into account local taxes etc. Also not given in the details is whether McKinney will pay for travel costs to go to Spain to sort out the transfer of ownership, fees etc etc. If owning this stunning villa isn't for you then you can take a £200,000 cash prize. These properties are selling at around 249,950 Euros.

How To Enter The Competition

To enter the competition for the chance to win a three bed villa in Spain or £200,000 cash you simply need to answer a multiple choice question. Note that you're not told whether your answer is right or not but the question is so absurdly easy that you won't need Google to check. We all know the capital of Spain right? Once you've made your selection it's simply a case of completing the purchase of your tickets. There is a free entry route offered for entrants who wish to take that option. Entry is via postcard and details about how to complete your entry are given on the website.

99999 Tickets

McKinney Competitions aim to sell 99999 tickets at £16.17 (total revenue just under £1.6million of all tickets sold at full price) by the middle of April 2024. This may seem quite an ambitious deadline but these platforms are managing to shift tickets quite quickly either due to an engaged audience or by offering discounts. For example McKinney have kicked this one off with a 60% discount (£6.47 a ticket). Further discounts can be achieved by buying tickets in bulk - for example 5% for 5, 10% for 10 and 15% for fifteen. The maximum ticket purchase seems to be 20! At time of writing 18387 tickets have been sold.

Our Verdict

The villa in Spain looks stunning and the blue pool so inviting, although to be fair after the rain of the last couple of months anywhere with sun looks inviting. The base ticket price of £16.17 (strange choice) is expensive but if you're an early bird or happy to hold on to nearer the closing date then McKinney do love their discounts. Whilst their estimated revenue/ticket target is huge for this particular property they don't need to sell out, even with discounted tickets. It does seem that you can only purchase a maximum of 20 tickets, which is better in terms of responsible gambling, but McKinney like many others in this sector omit any information about safe play. We'd like to see them include this! Enter Competition Here
