After two completed competitions with cash prizes, Prize Villas are back in search of creating their first win a house winner. They're hoping to do this with Oscar Campobasso's apartment located in the heart of Naples. The property is located just 1km from "Piazza Garibaldi" in an area known as Arenaccia. The reason for the raffle is that Oscar is moving in with his girlfriend and is hoping that a raffle will be the best way to sell his own place. The valuation is estimated because apartment prices in the Arenaccia area vary from 45000 Euros upwards.
About The Property
The property is a two bedroom apartment with open plan American style kitchen, lounge and patio doors that leads to a terrace. Furnishings are included so the property is ready for rental, city living or just becoming your new home. There's a video tour of the apartment on the website but we'd like to see more details and more images. We'd also like to know about things such as service charges etc. All of the various duties, taxes, legal and notary costs are covered by the owners and the sales process will be handled by C.I Property Group - an agent that's been appointed to oversee things.
How To Enter The Competition
To enter the raffle you need to be registered with Prize Villas. This can only be done with an email login. Once at your chosen house raffle page it's a case of answering a question and purchasing tickets. The questions are easy but do make sure you get the right answer as you'll still pay regardless of whether you're right or wrong. Tickets cost £2.50 each plus a 3% surcharge for costs - as far as we know there's no limit to the number you can purchase and you can purchase online using debit cards or crypto currencies. All Prize Villas competitions must make a charitable donation and the minimum is 1%.
175,000 Ticket Sales
Oscar Campobasso hopes to sell 175,000 tickets (total revenue £437,500) to conclude the draw. If insufficient tickets are sold then the winners will receive a share of the compensation amounting to 70% of all ticket sales. All compensation payments are guaranteed and paid directly by Prize Villas. Note that like Raffall, if all the tickets are not sold then the promoter/owner of the competition receives no money at all from the site.
Our Verdict
We like the Prize Villas platform and it's nice to see another new addition to their portfolio. However a nice platform is no good without marketing and more needs to be done by both the platform and hosts. We also wonder whether Prize Villas needs to look at successful Italian property competitions and consider the high ticket price/low ticket volume approach just to see whether that will work better for them? As for the property on offer - yes it looks great and maybe ideal for rental but the competition page needs more details and images to really sell the apartment to would be entrants.
