Only one previous property competition has been ran (as far as we know) for homes in Portugal. That one ended with a cash prize winner. Jon Martin from what we can deduce has set up two competitions on Raffall (see www.winahomeportugal.com) but only one looks as though it is active. However we don't think the competition has been well promoted and would be very surprised if it gets close to the 100,000 ticket target by the end of this month. Still if you'd like the chance to win a cash prize or if a miracle occurs a place in Portugal then read on.

How To Enter The Competition

The property is a ground floor apartment that was originally built in 1890. It boasts three bedrooms and has been restored to a high standard with modern fittings. We believe it's situated in the town of Lagoa and is close to cafes and shops. However the beach is also just a five minute walk. There are a few images of the property on the Raffall page but the owner is more keen on selling The Algarve as a location rather than the property as a prize. No details are given about costs with respect to local taxes, notary requirements and other legalities with respect to owning property in Portugal.

To enter the raffle you need to be registered with Raffall. This can be done via Facebook or email login. Once at the house raffle page it's a case of answering a question and purchasing tickets. The question pops up in a window which we found disappeared very quickly. Tickets only cost £8 and there's no limit to the number you can purchase. You can purchase online using debit cards. No donations are being made to charity in this particular competition.

100,000 Ticket Sales

The owner, Jon Martin, aims to sell 100,000 tickets (total revenue £350,000) by February 2021 in order to conclude the draw. If insufficient tickets are sold then the winners will receive a share of the compensation amounting to 75% of all ticket sales. All compensation payments are guaranteed and paid directly by Raffall Limited. Note that if 100% of the tickets are not sold then the promoter receives nothing.

This is another Raffall property competition that has gone under the radar because the owner hasn't promoted it or spent extra with Raffall to get it featured. The result is that it doesn't attract interest plus it's not easy to find in the list of competitions. Given that featured competitions struggle to complete their ticket targets it's pretty much given that it is nigh on impossible for non-featured competitions. Throw into the mix that is also an overseas home there's not much hope for that this will complete. On the flipside you might have a good chance of winning a cash prize. Enter Competition Here
