Spanish properties have been offered as house competition prizes before but this is the first one on the Raffall platform. The owner has reluctantly decided to take this route for the property due to divorce and Covid-19. The owner has added information about the selling process but the most important part is that the transfer of title will require the winner to appear in person in Barcelona to sign the relevant documents. This is required by Spanish Law.

How To Enter The Competition

The villa is a Catalan house and boasts three double bedrooms, kitchen and living room. Outside you'll find a swimming pool, pool house, garage and a small vegetable garden area. Additionally the property also has a two bedroomed apartment. This means you could live in the apartment whilst renting out the villa. Located in Santa Susanna Village the property enjoys sea views. The owner values the prize package at 750,000 euros. However the property (or similar) has been listed for sale at 580,000 euros and our valuation matches that.

To enter the raffle you need to be registered with Raffall. This can be done via Facebook or email login. Once at the house raffle page it's a case of answering a question and purchasing tickets. The question pops up in a window which we found disappeared very quickly. Tickets cost £9 each and there's no limit to the number you can purchase. You can purchase online using debit cards. As far as we're aware no donations are going to be made to good causes.

80,000 Ticket Sales

Andrew Foster hopes to sell 80,000 tickets (total revenue £720,000) before the end of November in order to conclude the draw. If insufficient tickets are sold then the winners will receive a share of the compensation amounting to 75% of all ticket sales. All compensation payments are guaranteed and paid directly by Raffall Limited. This should offer more assurance to entrants about the legitimacy of the promotion. Note that you can see the number of entrants only if you've purchased a ticket for yourself.

Owning a holiday home in Spain is a dream for many and this competition could make that dream a reality for just £9. We like the fact that Foster is aiming to only sell 80,000 tickets but the £9 ticket price may put off entrants. The revenue target seems reasonable accounting for 10% going to Raffall (on completion) but after other costs it may well see Foster take home less than the 750,000 euros valuation which suggests that this is over inflated which is a concern. We would like to see a bit more detail on the competition page about potential costs of maintaining and owning the villa. Enter Competition Here
