Australia could well soon be full of UK residents who have raffled their homes as once again a life Down Under is the incentive for a family to put their house on Raffall. Christine McDonald and her family have apparently appeared on Wanted Down Under and are desperate to start their new life. They are NHS workers and already have visas in place. They now just need to offload their property that is located close to the beautiful nature reserve of Tunstall Hills.
How To Enter The Competition
The semi-detached property has four bedrooms, family bathroom, dining room, lounge and kitchen. To the rear is an "extremely large secured lawned garden" plus there's also a garage. It's not a 'wow' factor house along the lines of Dream Home Prize Draw or Winton House but it's a decent and functional family home. We don't know the valuation of the property and it's not given on the Raffall page. Neither is the location but we've placed our marker in the area we think the property may well be,
To enter the raffle you need to be registered with Raffall. This can be done via Facebook or email login. Once at the house raffle page it's a case of answering a question and purchasing tickets. The question pops up in a window which we found disappeared very quickly. Tickets only cost £2.50 and there's no limit to the number you can purchase. You can purchase online using debit cards. This competition is not supporting any charities.
100,000 Ticket Sales
The promoter hopes to sell 100,000 tickets (total revenue £250,000) by the start of December 2021 in order to conclude the draw. If insufficient tickets are sold then the winners will receive a share of the compensation amounting to 75% of all ticket sales. All compensation payments are guaranteed and paid directly by Raffall Limited. From what we've seen of Raffall they've been good when it comes to paying out when property raffles have failed and when they have been successful.
Following the successful conclusion of property competitions in County Durham and Salford it's not a surprise to see more owners taking a chance with Raffall. If the owners can generate a fair bit of local interest, and ride on the tails of the successful Raffall competitions, then 100,000 tickets could be achievable. All legal fees will be paid should this competition reach it's desired conclusion.
