Having created two home winners with their two competitions, Win Houses In Italy are going for a hat trick with a beautiful villa situated in Tuscany. A high ticket price (£25) and overseas property prize don't tend to make good house raffle partners, but with their low ticket targets Win Houses In Italy seem to be doing something many others can't seem to manage. Let's hope that continues. The villa is located in the heart of Garfagnana, north of Lucca and Pisa, in Northern Tuscany. No valuation is given but we're making an estimate (just because we need a number for the database) at around £375,000 to £400,000 based on properties currently for sale in the region.
About The Property
The property does look amazing and very inviting. It has four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a re-furbished fully fitted kitchen made locally with chestnut wood. It has new combi gas heating with radiators so it can be used all year round, plus there's that private pool too. We don't know if the property will come fully furnished but the site does suggest that it can be used as a holiday home or rental property - although no indication of potential income is offered. The website is full of images of the property so you really do get a feel for the prize on offer. Transfer taxes and legal fees are covered by the promoter and the prize includes a trip to Italy to sort out transfer of ownershp.
How To Enter
To enter the competition you need to answer a multiple choice question. Click the green 'Enter Now' button and complete your details and the number of tickets you wish to purchase. You then need to answer the question about the colours of The Italian Flag. We're not sure whether the transaction will go through with a wrong answer but in our view it's very difficult to get the answer incorrect. The maximum number of allowed entries is 10,000. A free entry option is available and details are given in the terms. Note that a postcard needs to be sent to a UK address.
20,000 Ticket Sales
The promoters, Letterbox Redd Ltd, hope to sell 20,000 tickets at £25 each (total revenue £500,000) before mid January 2022 in order to conclude the draw. If insufficient tickets are sold then the winners will receive a cash prize. This will be after deductions for admin/marketing costs and a deductions for charitable donations. The charities being supported are The Children’s Society & Braccio Di Ferro. In previous competitions Win Houses In Italy did (we believe) include a referral element to boost ticket sales. However it doesn't seem to be part of this particular promotion.Our Verdict
Win Houses In Italy have again stuck to the same formula which helped them successfully complete their first two competitions. We still feel that the ticket price is on the expensive side but if it works then we can't really argue against it. The property does look desirable especially with the pool and stunning views. It's very easy to imagine enjoying that setting. Mind it'd be nice to know what it's like during winter. As with previous competitions, a bit more detail about potential rents and local taxes would be useful additions to the knowledge bank. Given the 100% success rate to date, it'd be a surprise to see this one not reach the ticket sales target.
