Another overseas property competition and another one for Ireland. This time the propery on offer is a bungalow that is located in Tramore, Co Waterford. According to the description the property is 5 minutes from the beach and also the airport. However more important details such as valuation and information about the property itself aren't included. Given that Raffall has hosted 30/40 home contests to date you'd have thought they'd have a better template in place to help owners list their homes.

How To Enter The Competition

All we know is pretty much what we've covered. It's a four bedroomed bungalow. Foundations are in place for an extension plus there's a 2 car garage and workshop space. There are no details about the current state of the main buildings, if it needs modernisation, if furnishings are included etc. We also have no idea of valuation so we've pitched the estimate at £300,000 pending further checks. No details are provided with respect to costs, taxes, stamp duty etc. We don't understand why owners do not include this information.

To enter the raffle you need to be registered with Raffall. This can be done via Facebook or email login. Once at the house raffle page it's a case of answering a question and purchasing tickets. The question pops up in a window which we found disappeared very quickly. Tickets only cost £4 and there's no limit to the number you can purchase. You can purchase online using debit cards. If the competition concludes then 5% will be donated to Irish Cancer Society.

100,000 Ticket Sales

The owner, Paul San Martin, aims to sell 100,000 tickets (total revenue £400,000) by January 2021 in order to conclude the draw. If insufficient tickets are sold then the winners will receive a share of the compensation amounting to 75% of all ticket sales. All compensation payments are guaranteed and paid directly by Raffall Limited. Note that if 100% of the tickets are not sold then the promoter receives nothing.

Given that a number of UK property competitions have recently extended their closing dates plus Raffall sales haven't hit the dizzy heights of mid-2020 we're not optimistic for this competition. The target of 100,000 tickets with an eight week window that includes Christmas might be much too short for an Irish property. We like that this one is supporting a good cause but the lack of details on the competition page is yet another frustration with the Raffall platform. Enter Competition Here
