Bounty Competitions caught us on the hop with this one because it was due to launch at the end of May. However they've decided to go early as it's ready to go but we also think it's because they've another property prize draw just around the corner too (at least according to their social media). This time round we're in Whitehaven, Cumbria and on offer is a three bedroom townhouse. The property itself is owned by Bounty and is listed on Booking.com as part of Bounty Holiday Lets. That takes you to the exact location on Scotch Street. Despite it being up as a prize in this particular promotion you can actually still book in for a couple of nights. However the property isn't available after June because Bounty have set a move in date for 4th July! Price per night is around £220 and the property has some excellent reviews so that might be something to consider if you're looking at the prize has a potential holiday let.

About The Property

The property is a three bedroom townhouse. There are Grade II listed buildings on this particular street but we're not sure if that's the case here. Bounty have given the inside a modern makeover and the townhouse comes fully furnished. One bathroom has it's own TV, there's a hottub (although we expect the neon sign to come down), enclosed back garden, private parking and a garage. To help you move in and get settled Bounty are including a £10,000 cash prize plus another £10K to donate to your chosen charity. However if owning property in Cumbria isn't for you then Bounty are offering a £180,000 cash alternative should you want to take that. Note that this cash prize covers the whole property bundle of the house plus cash.

How To Enter

Entry to the prize draw is very easy. All you have to do is select your raffle ticket(s) and go on and purchase them. If you're not keen on trying to find your own lucky number then there is a lucky dip option. The latter is actually quite useful as it does save you wading through the lists of numbers trying to find one that appeals. Once you've picked your numbers then head to the checkout where you'll need to login/register and pay. Note that there are no questions to answer! If you're interested in playing but not necessarily paying then a no purchase necessary route is offered in the site's terms and conditions. But you'll need to be quick!

36000 Tickets

Bounty Competitions aim to sell 36000 tickets before the end of the first week in June in order to complete the draw. Assuming all tickets are sold at full price that equates to almost £360,000 revenue, which given the prize values on offer makes for a tidy profit. Kudos as ever for Bounty who seem to really know how to target their audience! At time of writing Bounty had managed to sell just over 6000 tickets since launch although to be fair that's quite slow compared to their more recent prize draws. However with the Bank Holiday weekend looming it'd be no surprise to see sales start to increase. There is a postal entry option for those of you who like to try "no purchase necessary" routes but we'd be surprised if this one is open long enough to write your postcard.

Our Verdict

It's another win-win situation for Bounty Competitions because we know they'll sell a load of tickets and at the end they'll either still have a holiday let to potentially raffle again and/or a nice chunk of cash. The beauty of having a heavily engaged audience! The property itself is quite nice and could be ideal for someone looking at holiday lets, especially as it's kitted out and ready to go. However I'd probably take the cash and spend it! We do think that as the property is up to be won then it should also be removed from Booking.com - but then it does give entrants a chance to try before you potentially win. That's if the prize draw lasts more than a couple of days. Sales definitely look a bit slower for this one (comparatively to previous Bounty efforts) but we don't think they'll be discounts.
