Dancers Hill House is described as a "magnificent Georgian grade II listed property". It boasts 6 bedrooms, a spacious well-equipped kitchen, cinema room, snug, gym and wine room. These are all set in four acres with one and half acres being filled with a lake housing with over 2000 fish!

600,000 Tickets To Be Sold

Tickets for the competition cost £12.50 plus a £1 administration charge. This is an unusually expensive charge and probably won't be refunded if refunds were required. There is a free entry route option and this is described in the terms and conditions. Entry is qualified by answering a multiple choice question - you can't get the question wrong before paying.

The Walsh's aim to sell 600,000 tickets in six months (£7.5million + £600,000 fees!). However, the terms do allow a further six month extension. In the event that not all the tickets are sold then a cash prize will be awarded. The cash prize will be set at 75% of all funds generated. As far as we can see there's no charitable donations offered.

Lacking Details

The competition pages don't outline the running costs for the property. There's also no cash award to assist the winner with costs (as has been offered by other competitions). Potential entrants should consider this before committing to entering.

The sad death of Barry Chuckle has thrust the 'Chucklevision Manor' into the public eye. However this shouldn't distract from issues with the competition. The cost is high, the admin fee is incredibly high and the competition lacks a lot of pertinent detail on the website. There is little or no skill with regards to answering the competition question - you can't get it wrong - and that is a concern too.

These comments may seem harsher than our previous entries, however following the Isle Of Man competition, we've opted to try and pinpoint potential pitfalls for would be entrants.
