Italy is the destination for this property competition and the villa on offer is stunning. It's located in the village of Colognola which is part of the municipality of Piazza al Serchio in the province of Lucca, Tuscany. According to the website it takes one hour to get to Lucca by car or train and about 20 minutes more to Pisa airport. Florence is approximately a two hour drive. If you love Tuscany but would like to be able from the tourist trails then this is a perfect property.

How To Enter The Competition

The villa has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a good sized kitchen/diner/living area and a further living room. Outside is where you'll be most of the time if you use it as a holiday home and you can enjoy a 9.5m x 4m swimming pool, a courtyard that's perfect for al fresco dining and a garden with BBQ area as well as fruit trees. The website is full of images of the property and it will be awarded fully furnished. The property we're told is valued at £400,000.

To enter the competition you need to answer a multiple choice question. Click the green 'Enter Now' button and complete your details and the number of tickets you wish to purchase. You then need to answer the question about an Italian leader and biscuits. We're not sure whether the transaction will go through with a wrong answer but in our view it's very difficult to get the answer incorrect. A free entry option is available and details are given in the terms. Note that a postcard needs to be sent to a UK address.

20,000 Ticket Sales

The promoters, Letterbox Redd Ltd, hope to sell 20,000 tickets at £25 each (total revenue £500,000) before the end of January 2021 in order to conclude the draw. If insufficient tickets are sold then the winners will receive a cash prize. This will be 70% after deductions for admin/marketing costs and a further 10% for charitable donations. A charity hasn't been decided by the promoter instead they will put it to a vote! A referral element is included in the competition. Purchase a ticket and share your link for the chance to win £10,000. Note that this is only paid out if the property is awarded.

Owning a holiday home in Tuscany is a dream for many and this competition could help realise that dream. However we do think that the £25 ticket price is on the high side especially when the successful raffles are pitching their costs at £2 and £5 maximum. Higher priced competitions do tend to struggle even if the prize is desirable. There are good elements of this competition. We like that the prize includes flights to bring the winners out to Lucca to sign for the deeds. We do think the website should cover more on the ownership of property in Italy (taxes for rentals etc) and include a valuation. Enter Competition Here
