The Kandy Kabin in Salford served it's local community for 26 years until the owner had to close due to illness. Sadly they lost their battle with that illness and the children of the owner are now trying to sell the property. It has been up for sale by conventional means and from details found at On The Market it was valued at just under £180,000. We're unsure whether it is still currently for sale on the open market but as the images on Raffall don't show a for sale sign we're assuming that it isn't.

How To Enter The Competition

Details about the property on Raffall are quite limited. It's basically described as a "commercial shop front with a 3 bedroom property to the rear and the first floor". It's unclear whether the property would be won with the shop fixtures and fittings. As you might be able to guess from the name the shop was used as a sweet shop/newsagent. The winner obviously doesn't have to open a shop but the option is there! Additionally we'd anticipate that a new owner would be able to change the use of the premises to full residential if needed. Details about fees and costs are not given.

To enter the raffle you need to be registered with Raffall. This can be done via Facebook or email login. Once at the house raffle page it's a case of answering a question and purchasing tickets. The question pops up in a window which we found disappeared very quickly. Tickets only cost £4 and there's no limit to the number you can purchase. You can purchase online using debit cards. No donations will be made to charity as part of this competition.

110,000 Ticket Sales

The promoters of this competition aim to sell 110,000 tickets (total revenue £220,000) by the start of July 2021 in order to conclude the draw. If insufficient tickets are sold then the winners will receive a share of the compensation amounting to 75% of all ticket sales. All compensation payments are guaranteed and paid directly by Raffall Limited. Note that if 100% of the tickets are not sold then the promoter receives nothing.

A commercial property is an unusual addition to the win a house portfolio, but it does offer entrants something different. The ticket sales target is quite realistic in our view and attainable if enough interest can be generated. The promoters are currently using social media to build an audience so that's promising. We'd like to see more details about the property and some information about whether it has to stay commercial or not. The only minor concern is the long closing date, but that can be reduced if ticket sales go well. Enter Competition Here
