Timothy and Alison Peppiatt are offering entrants the chance to win their own slice of luxury in the county of Kent. This competition launched in September but hasn't appeared on radar until now (thanks to the Loquax user who let us know). The fact it's not had much publicity is a slight concern because it's not clear whether the Peppiatt's are fully behind the venture. Even more so when the property is also still up for sale according to Primelocation. Given the ticket price of 25 that's probably not a bad thing.

How To Enter

The property is stunning! It features a Chambers kitchen and fitted wardrobes, bespoke cabinets and wardrobes by Paul Riches furniture and even a self-contained flat over the garage. The main home has five bedrooms, a study, cinema room and gymnasium. Fixtures and fittings do not come with the property although according to the site FAQ "there is an opportunity to purchase the furniture and fittings at reasonable market cost". All costs including legal fees will be met by the owners and this will include a hefty bit of stamp duty.

To enter the competition you need to register with Win Kentish Luxury and then play the spot the ball game. Once you've made your selection you then just need to complete the transaction. Because this is a pure skill competition there won't be a free entry route available. Tickets cost a hefty 25 each but there's no limit to the number you can purchase. You can purchase online using debit cards. As far as we're aware there will be no donations made to charity. There is a referral option which earns you one free ticket for every five friends who purchase tickets.

230,000 Ticket Sales

The Peppiatt's aim to sell just a minimum of 230,000 tickets (total revenue 5.75million) and a maximum of 400,000 tickets (total revenue 8million) by the end of January 2021. However this closing date is ambiguous as the terms actually state "December January 2021". The FAQ also suggests the competition will run for six months which would put the closing date as March! If - as is most likely - not enough tickets are sold then the competition can be extended by up to four months. If after that all tickets aren't sold then a cash prize of 70% of ticket sales will be awarded.

Whilst this property would make an amazing prize we'd be amazed to see it be awarded in this competition. Firstly the ticket price is much too high. Competitions with ticket prices of 5/10 struggle so a 25 competition isn't unlikely to do well. Spot the ball house competitions also struggle to attract entrants. Whilst they're spot on in terms of being a skill competition few entrants are going to gamble 25 on a decision to be made by a judging panel. The lack of publicity surrounding the home is also a concern. Two months in you'd have anticipated some press coverage for such a property. Our advice is hold off your ticket purchase until this one shows more signs of life.
