Jan and Alina Michaelis are running this competition. The prize on offer comprises Sea Mist Bungalow which is described as a beautifully presented modern 3 bedroom bungalow set on a generous garden plot. This is joined by The Cabin, a 256 sq ft secluded garden studio with 1 bedroom. According to the details on the website the owners suggest that The Cabin alone could generate up to £20,000 through holiday lets.

How To Enter The Competition

Located in East Wittering Village, the property is 7 miles from Chichester and about 30 minutes from Portsmouth. The bungalow includes an open plan Living and Dining Room and refitted modern kitchen. The Cabin includes a Kitchenette with Sink and Mini Fridge. It also has it's own private entrance gate. There is no garage but there is a driveaway for two cars. Floor plans and various images of the two buildings can be seen on the website.

To enter the competition you need to register/login and then enter a multiple choice question about famous people from West Wittering. Entries cost £2.50 each although there are discounts should you choose a bulk buy option. A no purchase necessary postal route is available and full details can be found on the Enter Now section. Note that you will have to register and send the answer to the question as part of your entry.

240,000 Tickets

The owners aim to sell a minimum of 240,000 tickets (£600,000 revenue) by the closing date of 6th February 2021 (this was extended from 20/10/20 in September). If insufficient tickets are sold by the closing date then as far as we can see no extension will be applied. The house will not be awarded if the minimum of paid tickets is not met. Instead a cash prize will be awarded. This is determined as "75% of the proceeds of the competition once the Organisers' costs and expenses and a donation to charity have been deducted". The charitable donation will be £50,000 if all tickets are sold but this becomes a "proportional donation" if they are not.

Entrants who purchase 10 or more tickets will be able to refer friends via a personal link. For every successful referral made via such a link will see the entrant receive a discount code for one free ticket. Note that the number of entries one person can make is up to 100. Although it's unclear how many free tickets one person can collect via referrals. Overall this looks to be a well put together competition. The website contains plenty of details about the property, location and potential - something that a lot of Raffall competitions could learn from.

Competition Extended

As of December 2020 the promoters have made an addition to the competition. There are now 3 options for the winner. 1) the £475,000 property in West Sussex, 2) an apartment in Algarve, £150k cash, £45k for car and a trip for two to Algarve or 3) a cash prize. Options 1 and 2 are only available if enough tickets are sold. The cash prize is currently at £70,000 and increasing.

As of February 2021: "Many of you want to win the house and we want to make this dream come true so the draw will now close at 23:59 pm on 30th June 2021. Why we need more time: Delays in processing our application left us unable to advertise on social media as planned. In addition to this promotional plans had to be cancelled due to Covid-19 lockdown measures.
