Despite not launching until mid February 2018, this competition has attracted media publicity. Coverage has been in The Sun, The Times, The Mirror and Bristol Post. Details of the actual promotion are limited. For several months the Win My House site was simply just for email collection and linking to the promoter's website at Tricia Designs.
Predict The Centre Of The Hat
The competition went live on the 15th Feb and the price per ticket is £10. There's also a 25p non-refundable admin fee. The promoter aims to sell £1,500,000 worth of tickets and the closing date is set for November 2018. To enter you need to predict the centre of the hat!
The property has been up for sale, but didn't attract a buyer. However, the estate agents, Knight Frank, describe it as a "most attractive detached 19th century cottage, with a park-like garden situated in a central village position along a no through lane".
Winner Selected
This competition ended on the 15th November 2018 and a cash prize winner has been selected. Unfortunately details of the winner are unknown as everything was done by email. According to a report on Bristol Live "The winner lives in the South East of England and wanted to remain anonymous".
Although the owner doesn't share any monetary details of her venture, she has posted the following on Facebook: "For anyone considering running a similar competition, make sure you take the very best advice from professionals, it is a very stressful thing to undertake and it is a very new concept".
