Slowly but surely we're starting to see Raffall re-emerge on the UK property prize draw scene. Joining properties in Sussex, London and Lancashire is a three bedroom property in Sheffield. Location is given only as Sheffield but a scan through the IG profile and it's possible to determine that the house on offer is a 'Braxton'. A Google search for that as a new build in Sheffield leads us to the Dinnington area of the City (Zoopla). We're not 100% that this is the locality and because Raffal promotions don't like to give too much detail we'll not delve further. However we think it's a pretty decent approximation plus the Zoopla link also gives us a valuation in the region of £240,000.

About The Property

The property on offer is described as a beautiful modern home with three bedrooms The main bedroom is found at the top of the property and has it's own en-suite. On the first floor you'll find two bedrooms although the owners are currently using one as an office. Downstairs is a living room alongside a kitchen/diner. The kitchen comes with a built on microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, electric oven and hob. There are a few images of the property on Raffall plus more on the host's Instagram. They do include a picture of the front of the house which is great because after all you want to see what you might be winning. Another Raffall prize draw could benefit from following suit. We don't believe that the property comes furnished but stamp duty and legal fees will be paid by the hosts.

How To Enter The Competition

To enter the raffle you need to be registered with Raffall. This can be done via Facebook or email login. Once at the house raffle page it's a case of answering a question and purchasing tickets. The question pops up in a window - for this particular competition you'll need to answer a multiple choice question about the capital of England. It's pretty easy! Tickets cost £2 each and there's no limit to the number you can purchase. You can purchase online using debit cards. Enter early enough and you might be able to pick up a discount. From what we can see there's no evidence of charity support with respect to this particular draw.

175,000 Ticket Sales

The promoter hopes to sell 175,000 tickets (total revenue £350,000 if all tickets sold at full price) by the middle of August 2024 in order to conclude the draw. If insufficient tickets are sold then the winners will receive a share of the compensation amounting to 75% of all ticket sales. However we also do have the usual confusion where the hosts have suggested that if "less than 175,000 tickets are sold, the winner will receive a cash payment amounting to 50% of the total ticket revenue generated for this competition". All compensation payments are guaranteed and paid directly by Raffall Limited. This is a little bit different to house competitions run by individuals and should offer more assurance to entrants.

Our Verdict

It's good to see new property prize draws on Raffall although for the momentum to continue to build we really need to see good ticket sales, plenty of promotion and of course winners. Hosts do their best with marketing but only to a point. It really needs Raffall to up their own marketing game and manifest some of the skills that Bounty has in this particular sector. The property itself looks fine and we're pleased the owners have added a picture of the prize on offer. We fully understand safety concerns etc but at the same time if you're raffling a property you need to show a picture of the property!! The ticket price is attractive plus there are a few early bird discounts (but you'll need to be quick) so that should help build interest. Whether that can be sustained over the summer months and create a home winner remains to be seen. Let's hope for a good result. Enter Competition Here
