About The Irish Lotto
The Irish Lottery takes place twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The minimum jackpot is €2 million and can rollover. However the prize is capped if it reaches €19.06 million (July 2025).To play you need to select 6 numbers from 47. At each draw six random numbers are drawn, along with one bonus number. Match six numbers to win the jackpot prize. The odds of matching six numbers is 1 in 10,737,573. Other prizes are awarded for matching numbers and/or plus the bonus. The lowest prize you can win is a €3 Daily Million Quick Pick with Plus (2 Lines) for matching 2 balls plus the bonus ball. The odds of winning the lowest prize is 1 in 72.

If you want to play The Irish Lottery but aren't able to buy a ticket or want an alternative way to play then you can place bets on the outcome of the results. Whilst betting on The Irish Lottery means you won't be able to win the jackpot, you can win prizes just for matching one or two numbers! Betting markets for The Irish Lottery can be found on many UK Bookmakers. For example, Betfred Lotto offer 700/1 for getting three numbers correct but if you include the bonus ball then the odds are reduced to 400/1. If you played direct you'd receive just €9 for getting three numbers!
