Elite Competitions is the pay to enter prize draw site that was seen on Dragon's Den! They give you the chance to win a range of fabulous prizes and have given away super cars, houses and large cash sums as well as smaller items such as hot tubs and tech. Live streamed videos of the draws are shown on social media. Recently the platform has expanded into running Instant Win competitions to add extra interest to their giveaways. Our Rating |
|
Hydro Solutions Fylde Ltd are the company behind Elite Competitions. Since they launched in 2016 they have given away almost £100million in prizes and created an incredible 7million+ winners! They state that they are "the leading provider of online competitions in the UK" and boast 246,000 followers on Facebook and just over 90,000 followers on Instagram. In our view they have become one of the disruptors of the online competitions sector. They have offered property prizes at just 5p a ticket, introduced The Elite Club to encourage house entry subscribers and more recently (June 2025) have launched the first instant win house competition in The UK. Not content with offering one house in that draw they decided to have two. They use their own bespoke platform which works well on all devices but players can download apps for both Apple and Android.
What Prizes Can You Win
Houses are a major part of the prize roster at Elite Competitions these days with at least one property prize draw running every month. However there are other goodies that you can win. Unlike other sites who run traditional draws, Elite tend to focus on Instant Wins - or InstaWins as they like to call them. This means that there's usually a large prize pot of cars, gadgets and cash that can be won straight away. For example in The Life Changer Draw you have the chance to win houses, cars including a Lamborghini Urus Performante, cash up to £250K and watches including a 2020 Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5164R. Meanwhile in the Ultimate Motorbike Spin To Win there are 10 different motorbikes to be won as well as a bunch of cash prizes. Similarly the Ultimate Car & Cash Spin To Win gives you the chance to win 1 of 10 different cars and cash. Elite have also given away huge cash prizes and currently are running a Rolling Jackpot InstaWin that gives you the chance to win a progressive prize (currently at £307K).
How To Enter Elite Competitions
To enter a prize draw or InstaWin at the Elite Competitions you need to first be registered and logged in to your account. Each competition page will give you details about the prizes, how the prizes are awarded, ticket price, tickets sold, tickets remaining and when the promotion ends. After you've selected the prize competition that you wish to participate you just need to purchase your tickets. From what we can see you now just get a Lucky Dip rather than having to try and find numbers you'd like. Complete your entry by making the appropriate payment. A free no purchase necessary option is available for all competitions (see 4.4 in the terms for details). Note that you still need a registered account to enter via the NPN route. Given that some draws can sell out very quickly we do wonder whether the NPN route is worthwhile for some of the giveaways. However when it comes to some of the more expensive prize draws then it's well worth a consideration. A first class stamp might not be a good investment for a £1.50 prize draw but for the more expensive tickets it might be worth a go.
Do People Win At Elite Competitions?
Where applicable, Elite Competitions select their winners in live draws which are very similar to lottery number draws. Elite Competitions have their own Bernie, a random number generator, which picks numbers that correspond to the winning ticket. We think that they're the only platform that actually picks winners this way. All the videos for their previous draws are online. The winners podium section however does feel a little cumbersome and could do with a bit of an overhaul as you need to scroll through dates and weeks to see who's been lucky. Amongst the recent winners are Ricky Naylor who was lucky enough to win the £1 Million Mansion OR £850,000 Cash draw and Liam McGhee who won a 2023 Porsche 911 GTS and 2020 Audi RSQ8 (or £140,000).
Responsible Play & Other Reviews
Although Elite Competitions do have an 18+ logo and a link to Gamcare on their site we don't think that responsible play is covered here. There is an option to deactivate your account and have a cooling off period, but we couldn't see anything like deposit limits. Of course these things are required but leading brands should be leading the sector! Even more so when a platform adopts elements from gambling like spin to win and progressive jackpots. On Trustpilot Elite Competitions have over 12,200 reviews of which 84% of them are rated at 5*. However we do feel that Elite are asking for these reviews because many lack detail and aren't really helpful. In term of the 1* reviews these aren't that helpful either. Most seem to be from people who are upset that they haven't won.
Our Verdict
Elite Competitions aims to be The UK's Number One prize competitions service and they seem to be doing a lot of things right. We love the fact that they are trying something different to their competitors by offering houses (and other prizes) sometimes for pennies, trying instant wins and adding The Elite Club, which kind of commits Elite to being a regular in our win a house section. Not everything is perfect but Elite are developing and adapting by trying these things. The Elite Club we think needs refinement so that it's value for money for subscribers. We like the live draws and Bernie number generator although it's use seems to be limited now thanks to the rise in big prize pot InstaWins. We would like to see improvements in responsible play messaging especially as Elite do love to send a few emails and texts pushing their promotions.
