Owned by Storm Motors of Northern Ireland, Storm Competitions launched during 2020. The company say that they source desirable premium cars with low mileage and offer them through competitions. The cars aren't brand new but they are prepped to retail standard and delivered by Storm. At time of writing (August 2020) there was 3 current competitions all with decent ticket sales. A fourth draw for a 2017 Mercedes A Class AMG Line Premium has just completed and the winner announced.
How To Enter Storm Competitions
To enter first you need to do is select the prize you would like to win and click on to the competition page. You'll be given details of the closing date, the number of tickets on sale, the number of tickets sold and the competition question. You'll also be given details of the prize on offer. Answer the multiple choice question and choose how many tickets you'd like to purchase. Note that you're not told whether your answer is correct or incorrect. Complete the transaction to purchase your tickets.
Storm Competitions do offer a free entry postal route. This is explained in the terms and conditions. Note that you need to include your details and the answer to the question for the competition you wish to enter. Postal entries are limited to one per person per competition. Each competition has a fixed number of tickets available to be sold. If insufficient tickets are not sold then the competition will be extended. Once enough tickets are sold - even if not all are sold - then the prize becomes guaranteed. Keep an eye on the website and social media for updates.
Storm Competitions Winners
There are already a number of winners listed on Storm Competitions. Prizes that have been won include a Mercedes A Class, £10,000 cash, Range Rover Sport, BMW 420d Sport and a Range Rover Evoque. Images of the winners, their names and location are shown on the site whilst the competition links to the live Youtube video. This is a good level of transparency although we'd like to see reference to the past prizes, number of tickets sold etc. A Draws calendar which shows the dates of current and previous competitions is a useful addition.
Overall Storm Competitions looks a well organised service. Their Facebook page is active and they present their prizes incredibly well. Although the motors are not new they're high quality and plenty of detail is provided. The mileage is also low which is a plus. The only drawback is the ticket price as all current competitions at over £12 a play. However this doesn't seem to be stopping people from UK and Ireland playing as sales look very healthy when compared to others.
