The Orange British Academy Film Awards 2011 (BAFTAs) have now passed and unsurprisingly Colin Firth and The King’s Speech took the honours. You can see Colin’s acceptance speech below although it’s not on par with Sir Christopher Lee’s lifetime achievement honour for emotion or Rosamund Pike’s auto-cue malfunction for entertainment.
Although the chance to be at the awards has now passed you can still get involved by winning yourself a goody bag. There’s a handful of competitions about at the moment and it’s possibly something a lot of compers might dismiss. A goody bag for a move for example may just be a pen and tshirt – however, these aren’t just goody bags… they are BAFTA goody bags full of designer stuff.
The bag is an exclusively designed tote from Anya Hindmarch and it contains a bottle of Champagne Taittinger, Asprey Notebook, Escada Scarf, Grey Goose Vodka and Cocktail stirrers, Hotel Chocolat Pink Champagne Truffles, Knomo iPhone cover, Lancôme Make Up and Beauty Products plus a few odds and ends more. Not bad!
You’ll find the current BAFTA Goody Bag Competitions on Loquax – most close at the start of March so you have a couple of weeks (from date of publication) to enter. If you miss the closing dates then they’ll be prizes next year!
