It’s almost Halloween and that means that some of you will be carving pumpkins and dressing up the kids in all sorts of ghostly and ghoulish outfits. However, before settling down to have a fangstastic time make sure you take a few photos as your creativity could win you prizes.
There are a few Halloween competitions to enter including some that require a little bit effort. However, if you’re clever you could use the same effort for a few competitions. For example, let’s say you’re carving a pumpkin for Halloween – get creative (get some tips here) and take a photo.
You could then upload the photo to Jackpotjoy, I Want One of Those and Wychwood who are all running Creative Pumpkin competitions. Your well carved pumpkin could bag you £150, an iPhone or £250 in the 5th Hobgoblin National Pumpkin Carving Competition.
Another useful tip is even if you don’t enter the competitions take a few photos of your pumpkins or fancy dress exploits as they may come in useful for competitions next year!
Don’t leave your creative entries until after Halloween though.
Two competitions that require a bit of effort both close on the 29th October. Asda have got five £100 Giftcards on offer for people who send in scary photos and videos (and we’ve seen that some Loquax users have already entered). Meanwhile, Prezzybox want your scary stories or poems and are giving you the chance to win a spooky hamper full of Halloween goodies.
If all that seems like a lot of effort (remember the more effort the less entries, the more chance to win) then there’s always the Most Haunted Live Competition.
This year Most Haunted are having eight days of pretend ghost hunting, hearing stuff no one else can hear and random knocks and bangs punctuated with loads of adverts. But there’s a good competition running daily and it costs just 5p to enter. Expect to be in amongst a lot of entries though.
