The battle for the best Christmas TV advert is underway! Marks and Spencer have already had to adjust their not so inspiring X-Factor one to get rid of Frankie Cocozza, Waitrose have Delia and Heston offering Christmas dishes, Morrisons have a cheesy “good game” one with Brucie and Freddie Flintoff and Very have Fearne and Holly taking on the role of Santa.
Joining them in the battle are John Lewis who have chosen a track by The Smiths to go along with a boy counting down the days to Christmas. The soundtrack, which is in our view more enjoyable than the advert, is “Please, please, please let me get what I want” and is performed by Amelia Warner (Slow Moving Millie). You can find out more about the advert at John Lewis
To celebrate the new advert, John Lewis are running a series of Guess the Gift competitions. Every few days they’ll be releasing another video, where children do the talking and customers do the guessing to win one of 12 prizes, or a final prize of an Apple iPad 2! Each competition only lasts a few days so don’t miss them!
All you have to do is head on over to John Lewis and watch the video. To make things a little bit easier, John Lewis have provided 30 products – one of which will be the item being described. Your answer just needs to be the number of the gift.
As well as having the chance to win the mystery gift you’re also included in a prize draw to win an Apple iPad 2. The last competition starts on 7th December.
