The Milky Bar Kid is strong and tough and only the best is good enough and usually he’s a young boy. However, Nestle’s Milky Bar are celebrating the launch of their aimed at adults Raisin and Biscuit version of the bar by offering adults their chance to be The Milky Bar Kid in a competition.
To take part you’re going to need need a webcam and microphone and “audition” online as The Milky Bar Kid. Don’t worry about an outfit – Nestle sort out that for you – all you need to do is look good and sing well as your audition involves singing the well known theme tune.
If you don’t have a webcam then don’t panic as you can enter via uploading a video, but details won’t be released for this entry method until the 6th August.
Once you’re happy with your effort, and we suggest you do a few takes, then you can enter it into the competition. Everyone who takes part will get themselves a free Raisin and Biscuit Milky Bar by the way.
As with all video competitions voting is involved, but a look at the terms and conditions says “one vote per video is allowed” and that “any attempts to make multiple votes will lead to the exclusion of all such votes, and if a participant is seen to be involved with such a scheme then their entry could be deemed void”. Let’s hope it’s goes off without a hitch!
There are five prizes on offer! The winners will be invited down to London (make sure you’re able to attend) where they’ll be involved in a photoshoot and be “The Milky Bar Kid” for Nestle’s advertising campaigns. The prize also includes travel and accommodation in a 4 star London Hotel.
It’s definitely an unusual prize and if you’ve ever dreamt of shouting “The Milky Bars are on me” but are now too old, this could well be your big TV advertising break!
The closing date is the 12th September.
