There’s usually some great holiday competition prizes on offer, but they tend to be the usual destinations of Australia, The USA, Caribbean and of course trips to Europe. Occasionally there’s a few exotic holidays to the likes of China and India, but this week The Telegraph have surpassed all of those with a 17 day trip to Everest on offer in their latest competition.
The winner will get to join British mountaineer Rod Baber as he attempts to climb Everest and make the world’s highest mobile phone call and text just to get in the Guinness Book of Records (perhaps he’ll be trying to win 1 of the 1000’s of Dream Meanz Heinz prizes?)! According to the competition details “the prize consists of a 17-day trip leaving on May 6, 2007, and includes all flights and transfers, basic accommodation and appropriate clothing and equipment”.
Unfortunately not just anyone can get to go to Everest, and the winner will need to prove that they’re fighting fit by providing a doctor’s certificate as proof that they are fit and able to participate! You’ll also need to be “in good health, have good fitness levels and do not have any heart or circulatory conditions”.
The prize is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity (if a Loquax user wins, we want to see pictures of a duck on the mountain), however it’s not a competition I’ll be trying to win!
