Would you like to win a trip to the World Cup? Would you like to win a trip to the World Cup for your other half so you can have a bit of piece and quiet? If the answer is “yes’ then what would you trade to win that trip? That’s the question being posed by Hyundai who have just launched a brand new competition. The lovely people there even put together this video:
To take part in the competition head on over to Hyundai on Facebook. Create a video of yourself explaining what it is you’d trade and you could win 1 of 3 trips to the World Cup Final. If you rate and share other people’s videos then you’ll also have the chance of going to a World Cup Semi Final. If you like an easy life then simply become a Fan of the page and you could win a Semi Final trip too.
The closing date is the 11th June.
An important note worth making is that if you win, you don’t have to trade whatever it is you’ve suggested to take up the prize. At least we can’t find anything to suggest that you do. This is good news as it might come as a surprise to your other half if they’re being carted off to Hyundai whilst you’re boarding the plane to South Africa.
The winners of the video competition will be the three people with the most votes. Cue “groans” from Loquax users who dislike this kind of thing. The good news is that the terms of the competition specify that “participants are prohibited from seeking to obtain votes by any fraudulent or inappropriate means… the use of script, macro, or any automated system to vote is prohibited”. Let’s hope that there is fair play, especially given the nature of the prize on offer.
That said, it’s a shame that at least one of the three top prizes isn’t given to the best suggestion or even the best video as determined by Hyundai. In fact, we’d like to have seen the emphasis on voting limited with perhaps just one prize going to the person who’s essentially got the most Facebook friends.
Still, it’s a great prize and with prizes for voting and liking on offer it makes it worth a look beyond most video entry competitions. We’re now wondering what it is we’ll be willing to trade for a trip to South Africa? Some of our forum users who enjoy the frequent heated discussion perhaps? LOL!
Feel free to make your own suggestions below or let us know if you’ve entered!
