Win a Role In Neighbours In Five’s New Competition

In our last blog we told you about how you could win the chance to have a walk on part in Glee, now you can go one step further and win a role in hit Aussie Soap, Neighbours. Five have just launched a talent competition and if you’re the lucky winner you’ll be heading Down Under to spend five weeks in Melbourne. You’ll “star” as Poppy Rogers, a friend of character Mal Kennedy.

Full details on how to enter are on the Five Neighbours website, including an audition script and tips about how to audition. Interestingly there doesn’t seem to be any age limits attached to who can and can’t audition.

You have until the 28th May to get your audition uploaded to Youtube. All entrants will be viewed by a judging panel and then the top 5 will be thrown open to a public vote. After 25th June, the two with the most votes get to head to Australia for a week’s trial and then one will be chosen to stay on and play the role of Poppy Rogers.

So if you, or someone in your family, is hoping for Soap success – now’s a good time to give it a go! Our only advice would be to make sure you read the requirements and adhere to them. Rehearse and make sure your entry is polished. Good Luck!

If you do enter put a link to your audition video on the blog – we’d love to see it (and if you win we can pretend we help launched your acting career)!

No way could I pass as a woman in my twenties. I looked young for a very long time but eventually the clock ticked loudly, gravity took hold and I surrendered. All those comments from people too young to enter and I’ve watched it from the start, long before they were born and the Kennedys arrived in Ramsay Street.
